Connor Keightley Posted April 25, 2016 Report Posted April 25, 2016 Good morning, Following a recent wipe and reinstall of my PC I am finding it impossible to install any version of FSUIPC, Either from in built addons with FSUIPC or the download available on the website. Various attempts have come up with a multitude of errors but the most recent is asking for FSX.exe file while I'm only running P3Dv3. Aften cancelling it's asking for FSX (As I saw written in another part of the forum) the EXE makes no attempt to search for P3D and just ends stating that no changes could be made. There is no installer log or any other files created in my P3D folder.I have looked into the registry issue that has been mentioned however all of my P3D registry files are under "current user" and not "local machine" where I think FSUIPC will be looking, I don't know if this is the root cause of the problem?Another potential irregularity is I am installing P3D onto a separate SSD hardrive and not onto my C drive where windows is installed. I don't know if this is responsible for the problems I am experiencing (I have attempted to reinstall to the default directory with no success)Any ideas or ways to troubleshoot will be very much appreciatedKind regards,Connor

It sounds like you are using an old version of the FSUIPC installer, and also still have entries in your Registry saying FSX is installed. Please try again with the current version, FSUIPC 4.949p. This not only puts a copy of its log into the created Modules folder, but also one in the same folder as the Install EXE you are running (or on the desktop, if that's where you run it).. It is ALWAYS available! This change (adding a copy in situ) has been in for several releases, so you must be a fair bit out of date. Without the install log there is no way I can help you. I have looked into the registry issue that has been mentioned however all of my P3D registry files are under "current user" and not "local machine" where I think FSUIPC will be looking, No, it checks both. Another potential irregularity is I am installing P3D onto a separate SSD hardrive and not onto my C drive where windows is installed. No. The location is irrelevant. The registry should show the locations of all installed FS's. Pete
