Tower 3D Taxi Error / Pushback

Is it possible to correct a fundamental flaw in the simulation?  Aircraft push back before calling for taxi.  In the game they call for taxi and then pushback.  The reason I say it is a big flaw is when it gets busy and you tell an aircraft to taxi out it takes a long time since they first have to push.  It would be great if they were truly ready to go.

Personally I did not see that as an issue, however unless it is handled by adding another call "Ready for pushback" or some thing similar, you could risk suddenly blocking a taxiway with a plane that has not been given taxi instructions (because you did not issue the cleared for pushback instrauction), and it would just be sitting there until you notice that several other planes has stacked up behind it ;-)

I like that no plane moves unless I have permitted it (as it is in a real airport), so I think an extra call would be required for realism as well.

Not exactly correct.  In realworld operations aircraft pushback of the gate under ramp control and do not go to ground unless they are at an active taxiway.  For example at Atlanta they push off the gate and head just short of the taxiways parallel to the runways before getting taxi instructions.

 

Now I understand we dont have seperate ramp from ground from tower (maybe a cool idea for multiplayer but prob not enough users to really support it) but I wish this was handled a bit better.

True, but if I remember right on KLAS some will be pushed back into taxiway S, and on KPHL I believe some will be pushed out on taxiway J.

If we were to handle the push back calls for those we might as well handle it for all Aircrafts.
