Downloaded makerwy.zip. Windows Defender dectects Trojan:Win32/Varpes.M!.ci and set file in quarantine.

1. This is the FAQ forum, please post further questions in the general forum (one level higher). I assume someone will move this thread, so no need to post again.

2. The current MakeRunways_4697.zip from the "Download Links" forum looks clean for me with ClamAV and Windows Defender.

Edit: and 4.692 from the main page looks clean, too.

Hi,

I tried to download it again and got the same report from Win10 Defender and even this version that was previously downloaded got deleted.

I reported that to Microsoft with the actual file.

The Defender version I used was from Windows 7 with recently updated patterns (1 or 2 days before my post)

Thomas, Thanks for your answer, sorry for the inconvenience. My Windows Defender is from Windows 10 anniversary edition.

Same here with Windows Defender.

I checked the file at virustotal.com, looks like a false positive:
