hello,
after a weekend trying to get it to work with no succes i now ask for some help. What's the problem? Every control works o.k. with the exeption when i move the throttle, the elevation trim moves from the far top to the bottom and keeps doing that on the ground. As a mather of fact, when i go to the outside view i can see the trim make very fast moves (up and down) In flight the elevation stucks at one point. I can see in the logfile the trim moves but the reaction is zero.All my axis and buttons are assigned and calibrated through FSUIPC. I disabled the mouse and joystick controls from FSX and removed also every assignment. I looks like somekind of double assignment but i can't find what it is.
I use FSX steam on windows 10 with Saitek rudder, Yoke and throttle quadrant. For troubleshooting i use the default Cessna 172. All drivers updated and the latest version of FSUIPC.

Any help would appreciated,
Peter

Well if your only assignment on that throttle is for throttle, the elevator trim cannot be moved. Something else is going on. I can check your settings in FSUIPC if you like -- paste your entire FSUIPC4.INI file into a message. (it's in the Modules folder).

Which elevator controls are you seeing? Are you logging Axis events or other events -- there are several different controls operating the elevator trim.

Do you mean the trim still, or now the elevators?

Is this with a default aircraft? FSUIPC makes no distinction with controls as to whether you are on the ground or flying, so that sounds something to do with the flight model. Try a default.

Can you explain what you mean here? What are you logging and what do you mean "reaction"? You mean the trim as shown in the cockpit panel?

Ah, in that case you must have some other add-on which is doing something differently depending on whether you are on the ground or not. What do you have running apart from FS? Are you using any Lua plug-ins, or LINDA or such?

good evening Peter,

I send the ini-file. I'm logging Button & key, Non axis events, Axis control and Extra's. I've assigned the yoke buttons as elev trim up and elev trim down. and one of the  quadrant
axis as throttle, not realy something special. What i'm seeing is the panel trimwheel indicator pretty wild going up and down while i move the throttle axis. And indeed the wild movements disappears while airborn. The indicator on the trimwheel is then stuck in one place. As i move the trim up/down nothing happens but in the logfile i can see activity
but "result" as i can see in this file says the same (in all the logfile lines "result 4). I'm taking about the elevation trim as the elevator axis seems to be O.K.. I don't have any Lua of Linda plug-ins. I have a lot scenery and a couple of aircraft installed (PMDG 737/777) JF Fokker 27, Lionheart Robin, Aerosoft Airbus 318/321, Majestic Q400, CS767 and Alabeo PA31/350. And i use SimstarterNG.
I hope i answered your questions o.k., my English is not that well.

Okay. There are a few things wrong:

1. You have two assignments to Rudders:

2=0R,256,D,3,0,0,0    -{ DIRECT: Rudder }-
6=1R,256,D,3,36,0,0    -{ DIRECT: Rudder, SteeringTiller }-

I think maybe the second one is intended to be just steering tiller?

2. You have two separate assignments to Elevator Trup Up and Down:

18=R1,2,C65607,0     -{ELEV_TRIM_DN}-
19=R1,3,C65615,0     -{ELEV_TRIM_UP}-
39=R0,3,C65615,256     -{ELEV_TRIM_UP}-
40=R0,2,C65607,256     -{ELEV_TRIM_DN}-

Not sure what you expect the parameters 256 to do. does that increase the effect? Dodn't think those controls used the parameters, but maybe they do.

So why not post the Log too, so I can see what is happening?

Sorry, what does this mean?

That is starting to sound like corrupt files in the Sim. But let me see the log.

Pete,

i figured it out. It was the autotrim setting in fsx.cfg.
It was set to autotrim=true by Simstarter NG while my setting in Simstarter was NO autotrim !
I changed it by hand in the fsx.cfg file to autotrim=false and everything works great again.

thank you for your efforts,
kind regards,
Peter

I'm glad you solved it, but fail to understand how throttle changes on the ground caused it to make the trim behave wildly. Very strange.

Thanks for letting me know.

Pete
