EgbertDrenth Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) Hi, I have an RFC regarding the profile entries. Currently we have to enter each and every aircraft title from the aircraft.cfg to assign a specific profile. Since the aircraft.cfg (by definition) contains the same type of aircraft (only different liveries), it would be more convenient to enter the paths to an aircraft.cfg, like: Profile.TurboPro 1=C:\P3D\....\mjc8q400 2=C:\P3D\...\Carenado DO228_100 etc Pretty simple, and no need to edit the ini file again, if liveries are added or deleted. Upon startup, FSUIPC reads the assigned aircraft.cfg files dynamically and all aircraft in the cfg get the profile. Just my 2 cents, Egbert Edited September 9, 2016 by EgbertDrenth
Thomas Richter Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Hi, actually you don't have to because that is already implemented. Check the FSUIPC4 for Advanced Users.pdf for more information, page 56 to 58. Using the setting in FSUIPC4.iniShortAircraftNameOk=Substring then you can have i.e [Profile.C172] 1=Cessna Skyhawk 172SP 2=DeHavilland Beaver DHC2 3=C172R This will then use the profile Cessna Skyhawk 172SP for any livery in your aircraft.cfg that contains in its title Cessna Skyhawk 172SP (Paint1, Paint2, ...). This is then also true for the other both aircraft types listed in that Profile, in my example above. Thomas
