catalina69 Posted November 9, 2016 Report Posted November 9, 2016 Hello everyone I Gérard (catalina69), I assembled a complete simulator of Boeing 737 in OpenCockpits. I use P3D V3 3.2.3.2 with IFLY 737, IFLYTOFSUIPC, IOCP_IF737_11B2, SIOC 5.0.B5, SimConnect 3.2.0.0 and of course FSUIPC latest version 9.4.58. I have 2 pedals and 2 yokes, which are recognized under Windows 10, and when I go to Addons, then FSUIPC under joystick calibration, then I can calibrate the 2 yokes without problems, but for the pedals, I have no hand to do it, and under Axis Assignment I can not do anything either, Do you know this, and there has been there a solution? Another question, why in FSUIPC.ini at [JoyNames] AutoAssignLetters = Yes there is nothing more .Is this normal? Thank you, in advance, for the answers or solutions to comeGérard (Catalina69) FSUIPC4.ini [General] Console=No UpdatedByVersion=4958 History=1YNM24R4BZKKTETRMJDYF InitDelayDevicesToo=No Annotate=Yes Or am I wrong? 57 minutes ago, catalina69 said: and when I go to Addons, then FSUIPC under joystick calibration, then I can calibrate the 2 yokes without problems So you assign them in P3D? FSUIPC calibrates FS controls, it doesn't actually calibrate the joystick inputs themselves, only the results inside P3D when they get there. It isn't the same thing at all. Any software can send the values to P3D, FSUIPC picks them up on arrival. Device drivers actually often have assignments in their own interface. If you are not using any OpenCockpits software at all, then find the program "HIDSCANNER" in the "Useful Additional Programs" thread in Download Links subforum above, run it, and show me the log it makes. This part of the FSUIPC log you posted shows strange things: 734 ---------------------- Joystick Device Scan ----------------------- 734 Product= USBAXES-PLUS V2 734 Manufacturer= Opencockpits 734 Vendor=04D8, Product=0000 (Version 2.0) 734 Serial Number= Opencockpits 734 Found correct joystick Id 0 750 Product= USBAXES-PLUS V2 750 Manufacturer= Opencockpits 750 Vendor=04D8, Product=0000 (Version 2.0) 750 Serial Number= Opencockpits 750 Product= USBAXES-PLUS V2 750 Manufacturer= Opencockpits 750 Vendor=04D8, Product=0000 (Version 2.0) 750 Serial Number= Opencockpits 750 Product= USBAXES-PLUS V2 750 Manufacturer= Opencockpits 750 Vendor=04D8, Product=0000 (Version 2.0) 750 Serial Number= Opencockpits All 4 devices appear identical, totally indistinguishable. That would be a problem in itelf. Each time you power up, any of the 4 could be indentified in place of any other. This reinforces my belief that you must be using some Opencockpits software to handle them. 1 hour ago, catalina69 said: Another question, why in FSUIPC.ini at [JoyNames] AutoAssignLetters = Yes there is nothing more .Is this normal? This is "normal" if there are no HID devices identifying themselves as joysticks. FSUIPC only scans joysticks for assignment. This is why you cannot assign in FSUIPC. I ask again, are you assigning in P3D? Where in Windows 10 are these joysticks recognised? Pete
catalina69 Posted November 10, 2016 Author Report Posted November 10, 2016 Hello Pete and thank you for your answers or questions. No I don't use P3D to assign for the yokes and rudder pedalsI'm using Windows 10 first, I'm going with Windows parameters, then Device settings, then associated parameters, devices and printers, and I have all the USB ports, monitors, SIOC cards, Matrox Triple Head, and of course the 4 USBAXES V2-PLUS.I click on the first, I go to game controller settings, and then I can calibrate.Once done, I run P3D, I remove ENABLED in assignments P3D, and then I go in addons and I open FSUIPC4, and JOYSTICK CALIBRATION I can only adjust the yokes.A quick question how to do when you have two yokes and rudder pedals 2 whereas we can do only one FSUIPC4,OpenCockpits has no drivers for the pedals and yokes, that's a shame.I will upload HIDSCANNER and I'll let you know.Thank you again for your helpGérardcatalina69

Pete Dowson Posted November 10, 2016 Report Posted November 10, 2016 2 hours ago, catalina69 said: No I don't use P3D to assign for the yokes and rudder pedalsI'm using Windows 10 first, I'm going with Windows parameters, then Device settings, then associated parameters, devices and printers, and I have all the USB ports, monitors, SIOC cards, Matrox Triple Head, and of course the 4 USBAXES V2-PLUS.I click on the first, I go to game controller settings, and then I can calibrate.Once done, I run P3D, I remove ENABLED in assignments P3D, and then I go in addons and I open FSUIPC4, and JOYSTICK CALIBRATION I can only adjust the yokes. Something makes no sense at all their. What is assigning the yokes? It isn't FSUIPC, and Windows doesn't know how to assign yoke axes in P3D, so either they are actually assigned in P3D, ort your are running some software, probably from OpenCockpits, which does it automatically. Without them being assigned somewhere, they can't possibly be used in P3D nor calibrated in FSUIPC. 2 hours ago, catalina69 said: A quick question how to do when you have two yokes and rudder pedals 2 whereas we can do only one FSUIPC4, You can assign as many controls to the same function as you like. When more than one controller is assigned to a main aircraft control like elevator, aileron, or rudder, and the assigned "direct to FSUIPC calibration", then FSUIPC gives priority to the one with the largest deviation from centre, or idle. There's only one calibration per one control, because there's only one aileron, one elevator and one rudder mechanism in any aircraft -- dual controls link to the same aircraft control surface. You can't have two independent controls, so you can't calibrate separate ones. Separate ones don't exist! 2 hours ago, catalina69 said: OpenCockpits has no drivers for the pedals and yokes, that's a shame. Well in that case, as you haven't assigned them in FSUIPC, they MUST be active and assigned in P3D! I'll look at the HidScanner results separately. Pete
Pete Dowson Posted November 10, 2016 Report Posted November 10, 2016 The HidScanner output shows you have other OpenCockpits equipment, which surely uses a driver. Device at "\\?\hid#vid_0000&pid_0014#9&14722075&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}" Vendor=0000, Product=0014 (Version 0.0) Manufacturer= Opencockpits Product= MCP V3.0 Serial Number= MCP V3.0 Device at "\\?\hid#vid_0000&pid_000b#8&7242372&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}" Vendor=0000, Product=000B (Version 0.0) Manufacturer= Opencockpits Product= USBEFIS V2.0 Serial Number= USBEFIS V2.0 Device at "\\?\hid#vid_0000&pid_0013#9&287497c2&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}" Vendor=0000, Product=0013 (Version 0.0) Manufacturer= Opencockpits Product= USBFMC V1.0 Serial Number= USBFMC V1.0 So I think whatever OpenCockpits stuff you have installed must be mapping the yokes for you. You need to find out how to make it do it for the rudders too. The 4 "USBAXES PLUS" devices listed by FSUIPC in its Log file appear to have the correct Usage Page, but oddly no Usage value, which FSUIPC (and I think P3D and Windows) expects to be 4 for a Joystick. For instance here's the scanner's results for one of them: Device at "\\?\hid#vid_04d8&pid_0000#9&14e5741c&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}" Vendor=04D8, Product=0000 (Version 2.0) Manufacturer= Opencockpits Product= USBAXES-PLUS V2 Serial Number= USBAXES-PLUS V2 Usage Page: 1 The Usage itself is omitted. Compare that with the same section for a Saitek throttle quadrant: Device at "\\?\hid#vid_06a3&pid_0c2d#7&23aeb000&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}" Vendor=06A3, Product=0C2D (Version 2.0) Manufacturer= Saitek Product= Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant Serial Number= Device is a joystick Usage Page: 1 Usage: 4 In this case HidScanner recognises it as a Joystick type device, as you see, and so its axes are assignable in P3D or FSUIPC. I think you need to refer to OpenCockpits documentation or support. It looks pretty obvious to me that their stuff is designed for their software, not as ordinary everyday assignable joystick devices. Pete
catalina69 Posted November 10, 2016 Author Report Posted November 10, 2016 Good evening PeteI succeeded this afternoon to access in AXIS and I checked SEND TO FSUIPC and put RUDDER, after I went into JOYSTICK CALIBRATION and there I managed to access RUDDER and I managed to calibrate.I'm happy, I do not know how I managed, I saved my flight right away. One last little question, how to increase the angle of the ailerons, elevators and steering, because I find them too weak.Again thank you for your helpGérardcatalina69

Assuming your axes are properly calibrated, to the maximum, then the controls are operating exactly as designed for that aircraft. If you want to tailor an aircraft to your own liking you need to edit its AIRCRAFT.CFG file. If you've not calibrated properly, which seems more likely, do it again. There are step-by-step directions in the User Guide. Pete
KOKE 116 Posted November 16, 2016 Report Posted November 16, 2016 Hi Pete Sorry for asking a question on this topic, but as it relates to "Opencockpits".I would like to know if the Embraer E-Jets v.2 Embraer 175 and 195 add-on from "feelthere.com" is compatible with the Opencockpits FMC. I asked them, in an email, about this and they answered: "If the Feelthere add-on is compatible with FSUIPC and has offsets if it is compatible if not not. Thanks for the helpregardsKOKE116
