alphons10 Posted December 3, 2016 Report Posted December 3, 2016 I am trying to designate most of the FSX commands to FSUIPC. I did so also with the view keys "S" and "A". And according to the instructions I disabled controllers in FSX. and things work fine. However I much prefer to stay with the hat-switch command for my controller in FSX. That produces a conflict as I have to check the "enable controller" in FSX again. Is there a way around that to use one in FSUIPC and the other one in FSX without screwing up anything. Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot The hat switch is recognised and assignable in FSUIPC. You can assign it in Buttons & Switches as a set of 8 buttons, one for each direction, or as a panning controller in the Axis assignments - just assign to PAN VIEW, the same as it is behind the scenes in FS. alphons10 Posted December 3, 2016 Author Report Posted December 3, 2016 Sorry, I might be too dumb to set it up so it´s working. I assigned it in axis - the result is I can pan up only ( and quite jagged). I attach a pic. What did I do wrong or not do at all ? THIS IS A SCREENSHOT OF HOW I SET IT UP Thanks a lot
Pete Dowson Posted December 3, 2016 Report Posted December 3, 2016 You are using the specialist range setting side of the assignments options. Why? that's for experts - you'd need to study the documentation rather more than you appear have to make use of that, and it is no way applicable to your need in any case. If you otherwise have disabled cntrollers in the sim, how on Earth have you assigned oyur yoke and throttles? Or do you only use the keyboard for those? If you assigned them, didn't you do that on the left hand side, where ALL normal axis assignments are made? Have you ever just browsed through any of the User guide. it isn't that hard to read -- and it even has pictures. It shoes you how to assign axes. Please, just assign, NORMALLY, on the left-hand side, to the FS control "PAN VIEW". Pete
alphons10 Posted December 3, 2016 Author Report Posted December 3, 2016 Thank you so much for your input - and yes, now everything works like a charm. But let me just explain how I got into this situation in the first place: Of course I assigned yoke and throttle via the axis assignment. However when trying to assign the pan view I checked the "Send direct to FSUICP calibration" instead of the "Send to FS as normal axis". Therefore I did not find any "Pan view" in the drop down menu but did find one on the right side. So it´s not so much a matter of ignoring the manual, but rather not being careful what boxes are checked. Thank you however for dedicating me your time and especially solving my problem. Al

Pan View is not calibratable. Hats just return a value 0-360, or sometimes 0-3600 (1/10ths). Pete
