I wonder if you can help me solve a bizarre problem.

I use FS2004 as my flight simulator and I fly with CH Products -  a CH Flightstick Pro stick, CH Pro Pedals and the CH throttle quadrant.

After setting up all these devices in FSUIPC, I found that when I boot up FS9, the view from the 2d cockpit is not straight ahead but the rear up view.  The same is for the virtual cockpit view.  The control tower view isn't affected but the aircraft view goes from the side view to a view looking down on the aircraft.

After trial and error, I found that this interaction is only between FSUIPC and the Rudder pedals.  The Flightstick Pro stick and the CH throttle quadrant don't cause this effect with FSUIPC.

I've tried using different versions of FSUIPC including the latest one that I downloaded from the website last week - there's no difference.

May I ask if anyone else reported this problem and/or any advice on how to fix it?

Best regards,

Assuming the flight you are loading actually was saved with a more 'usual' view, it sounds like you have some incorrect assignment somewhere.

Mate you using CH's control program, or are the CH devices only acting directly into FS/FSUIPC?

Try enabling event both button and event logging on FSUIPC's Logging tab. You'll need to do that then restart FS so that the log starts off with those set.

Show me the log after, and also your settings (the INI file). Both are in the Modules folder.

Hi Pete,

Many thanks for getting back to me quickly.

Just prior to sending  the original post, I had tried using the CH Manager; however that didn't work in terms of getting the throttle quadrant working in FS9.

I then uninstalled CH Manager. Then I then reloaded the controls into FSUIPC and guess what - the problem has gone!

I've tried a few flights after rebooting Windows 7/FS9 and it's still OK.

The throttles work great for my different aircraft - all I need to do now is work out how to get a consistent calibration of the throttles across all of the four throttles.

Best regards,

They are always slightly different, as they are in the real aircraft once it isn't new from the factory. But there are facilities for making the calibrations line up at a number of points along the travel. It's all in the User guide.
