NaMcO Posted June 8, 2017 Report Posted June 8, 2017 Hello Pete, I have an old registration for WideFS, will this work on the new FSUIPC5? I can't seem to find a way to purchase it on SimMarket, so i'm asking before making the FSUIPC5 purchase. Also, and if you don't mind me reporting this here, WideFS has what seems to be a bug: When i remove an AUDIO device from the PC WideFS is running on, it frequently crashes. I found this out because i have a USB headset and most of the times when i disconnect it, it makes WideFS crash. It is reproducible and does it very very often. Thanks, Nuno

If your Registration was for "WideFS7" (i.e. with FSX or P3D), then, yes. 13 minutes ago, NaMcO said: WideFS has what seems to be a bug: When i remove an AUDIO device from the PC WideFS is running on, it frequently crashes. I assume you mean WideClient, on the client PC? If so, yes. I've investigated things like this. It all depends on the drivers in that PC -- and the crash is actually in the driver. Without notice it just makes the device handle invalid. The crash is invariably in the driver itself. I never managed to solve it (it has been the same for nearly 17 years). Best not to change the hardware configuration whilst things are using it. Pete
NaMcO Posted June 8, 2017 Author Report Posted June 8, 2017 Yes i meant WideClient. I see it's a dead end, i'll just relaunch it if it does crash. Thanks for your replies. Nuno
