pen8141986 Posted February 24, 2018 Report Posted February 24, 2018 Hello Peter, I recently purchased a FSUIPC 5 (5.123c) to use with P3D V4.1 and I am trying to set up the buttons and switches for my X-56 joystick and throttle. I have set up the axis with no issues however when I come to program a button or a switch to a specific control and nothing is happening. For example if I press the trigger on the joystick or flick a switch on the throttle quadrant nothing registers in FSUIPC (Joy#/Bn#) however if I use my hat switches the appear and I can allocate them a control. The hat switches are the only ones that I can register. I have disabled and deleted everything in the P3D control section and even created a new profile on the X-56 software with out anything allocated to a button or switch and still nothing. There is something strange though that even if I don't have anything allocated and I go for a fly with an aircraft and click a button or swtich it registers something that I allocated to that button/switch which I created before installing FSUIPC but can seem to find where that input is coming from. Any help would be much appreciated and below is from my FSUIPC5.ini file. The ZIP just contains the DLL for copying into the P3D4 Modules folder. This is a temporary measure pending a full update early next week. 1 hour ago, pen8141986 said: I have disabled and deleted everything in the P3D control section Best to simply disable controllers instead. No need to delete assignments, and in any case they often seem to get automatically re-assigned. 1 hour ago, pen8141986 said: a new profile on the X-56 software with out anything allocated to a button or switch and still nothing. Ouch! FSUIPC works best with no Saitek drivers at all. Best to uninstall those. That could be the main reason for any problems. 1 hour ago, pen8141986 said: below is from my FSUIPC5.ini file. Something strange there. The X-56 is the only device FSUIPC knows about, and that is device 0. Yet there is an assinment to a device 1 axis: 3=1X,256,D,4,0,0,0 -{ DIRECT: Throttle }- Additionally, although you say there's no FSUIPC response to buttons, there is a button assignment to the X-56 device: 1=P0,4,C65752,0 -{PARKING_BRAKES}- Could these be left over from some other device? Note that I think the X-56 may have more than 32 buttons (I don't recall). FSUIPC will only see the first 32 (numbers 0-31 for FSUIPC or 1-32 in Windows Game Controller terms. Pete
