elButz Posted March 7, 2018 Report Posted March 7, 2018 Hi, first off - I use the free version of FSUIPC 5.124 in P3D v4.2 and clean-reinstalled it a couple times already. In 4.1 with FSUIPC 5.122 I've been able to assign a fixed position for the SimConnect window and the green bar (only after installing 5.122). In 4.2 with FSUIPC 5.124 this doesn't work any more. I've noticed "Window.Message Window" and "Window.SimConnectWindow" entries in the FSUIPC5.ini in the modules folder in my P3D directory. So - is it possible to manually assign window positions with these two entries? Or was something else causing the windows in v4.1 to stay where I've put them?

There is a facility to save and restore their positions in FSUIPC. This was defaulted "on" but is now defaulted "off," because folks were losing these windows when switching between Windowed and full screen mode or vice versa. The facility only suits those always running with the same screen state and size. With a registered install of FSUIPC you can enable this facility by changing the RestoreSimcWindows parameter to Yes, or just use the option on the left side of the "Miscellaneous" options tab. Pete
elButz Posted March 7, 2018 Author Report Posted March 7, 2018 Hi Pete, thank you for your quick response! Saving scenarios somehow doesn't work for me, I've only been able to permanently adjust the SimConnect window with the native placement methods in the screen corners which isn't really ideal. I'll probably get the full version FSUIPC then, thanks! Johannes
