shgoldth Posted March 22, 2018 Report Posted March 22, 2018 Moved to Main Forum. Please ask questions related to FSUIPC always on Main Forum. Can a custom application attached to WideFS through shared memory, WideFS and Sim-Avionics all run on the same Windows computer? I understand that WideFS interfaces with Sim-Avionics server.
Thomas Richter Posted March 22, 2018 Report Posted March 22, 2018 Hi, when Sim-Avionics uses FSUIPC to interface with FS then that will work on the FS PC direct via FSUIPC or on a Client PC via WideClient (installed on the Client PC). All Applications connect to FSUIPC or WideClient if they use that Interface, but FSUIPC does not connect to other Applications. Thomas
shgoldth Posted March 23, 2018 Author Report Posted March 23, 2018 Thanks Thomas. On the same computer, can Sim-Avionics and my custom application both connect to WideClient using FSUIPC interface, and thereby communicate with each other. Does FSUIPC SDK provide my custom application with the functions to implement that?
Thomas Richter Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Hi, multiple applications can be on the FS PC or on the client PC and communicate with FS or each other via Offsets. Thomas
