"G" doesn't operate the Gear? What is the "horizontal stabilizer trim"? Do you mean elevator trim? If so don't the normal trim up/down controls work (default assignment: NUM 1 and 7 keys)? Does the aircraft come with any documentation telling you how to operate these things. i would have thought that for such essential controls they would stay with the normal assignments, otherwise many many add-on devices won't be directly usable with it. When you ask such questions it would be helpful if you would mention which simulator you are using and how you are actually trying to do such things. Pete
eric737 Posted August 1, 2018 Author Report Posted August 1, 2018 sorry, firstly FSX and ifly 737 ,what is confusing that the switches are recognized by FSUIPC but when assigned to the repective controls( gear up/down and elevator trim up/down the function has no effect on the ifly 737? Thanks Eric

Sorry, to be clear: do you mean FSUIPC sees your physical switches? Why would it not? The input side is not related to the model of aircraft you use. Unfortunately, you are still not giving enough information! I can't help without more details. Do you assign to GEAR UP and GEAR DOWN respectively? Or to GEAR TOGGLE? For elevator trim, do you assign to ELEV TRIM UP and ELEV TRIM DOWN? Do please give the exact names, Those are all standard Sim controls. Are you saying that such standard controls, as assigned in the Sim to 'G' (Gear Toggle) and the Num Pad 7 (Elev trim down) and Num Pad 1 (Elev trim up), do not even work on thhe add-on aircraft you are using? Have you even tested them using those default sim assignments on the keyboard? Assigning in FSUIPC to those standard functions is exactly the same as assigning in the Sim to the same functions. So if your aircraft model is not responding to those, then you need to find out what it does respond to. Have you checked its documentation? Is there a support forum? Test your FSUIPC assignments with a default aircraft too, to ensure you are not making a simple mistake. Pete
eric737 Posted August 9, 2018 Author Report Posted August 9, 2018 Hi Pete I assign gear up and gear down not toggle, elevator trim up and trim down I try to assign the same way? Thanks for your help will see if I find the solution with Ifly737

Yes, of course. you don't "toggle" elevator trim! What would a toggle action do? Toggle turns on and off!. That's what it means, like a light switch! You can't do that with a trim! Just assign to elev trip up and down! Pete
