Hello,

This is my first post...be gentle please.  I have licensed and installed FSUIPC & WideFS on my simulator machine (Windows 7)  I have also installed Wide client on a second machine (Windows 7) and successfully connected.  Both machines are in the same WORKGROUP.  I am trying to map the second computer to read the shared drive on the primary machine in an attempt to run Active Sky Next.  I am being asked to map to the shared drive where FSX resides so that Active Sky and, I assume anything else that I want to run remotely can access the sim.

I am being asked to enter a network password at this point.  I have entered the password info from my home network and it is continually rejected.  I have also tried to "connect with new credentials" with no luck.  I never has a password on the sim machine but, i added one and tried that...No Joy.  What am I missing?

You posted in a reference subofrum, where it won't be answered. I've moved it to the Support forum, which is for requests for Support.

I didn't think active Sky needed any such mapping, but you would be best asking in the Active Sky forum. Certainly, nothing to do with WideFS or FSUIPC needs such.

Network access has become much more complex with recent Windows versions. I used to think Windows 7 was complex enough. Windows 10 is much more so. Luckily I have only one Win10 PC and managed somehow to sort out some sort of reasonable access from my other PCs, but don't ask me what contortions I went though.

Sorry. I'm sure you'll find good help somewhere, but I don't think this is the place.

Pete
