Recently upgraded to P3D v4.4 and suddenly widefs won't connect to client. On examining the log I found that WideFS had not been activated and that LUA was missing. FSUIPC is the latest version and duly registered with a single code which apparently also activates WideFS. It goes without saying that firewall and antivirus exceptions are in place and WideFS properly configured . Any help much appreciated.

regards

Could you explain a little more, please? Confirm that you entered your WideFS registration correctly. And what "Lua" are you talking about?

You need to state version numbers please. "Latest" often turns out to mean "the latest I've noticed" and has sometimes been nearly a year old!

How do you work that out? WideFS needs to be registered with your WideFS registration details.

Peter I'm very sorry to have troubled you, unfortunately I misunderstood the statement about WideServer7 being included with FSUIPC and thought that FSUIPC5 serial would suffice for both. Have now bought a WideFS7 licence from Simmarket and all works well.

best regards

Okay, but you said you'd "upgraded to P3D 4.4", so I assumed you already had a WideFS 7 license from your P3D3 or FSX days. If so the same details would havew been applicable.
