Hello Peter,

I updated P3D to 4.4 a couple of days ago and as result FSUIPC stopped working. I checked to see is a new version existed and found 5.15 (was previously 5.12).

I installed and the log is below:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Installer for FSUIPC5.DLL version 5.15
Looking in registry for Prepar3D v4 install path:
     HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
     Parameter"AppPath"
... >>>  OK! FOUND Prepar3D v4!  <<< ...
     AppPath=J:\Lockheed Martin\
===========================================================
INSTALLATION FOR Prepar3D v4:
AppPath="J:\Lockheed Martin\"
Checking version of the Prepar3D v4 EXE:
... Version 4.4.16.27077  (Need at least 4.1.0.0)
Checking if there's already a version of FSUIPC5 installed as:
       J:\Lockheed Martin\Modules\FSUIPC5.DLL
... Version 5.150 found.
J:\Lockheed Martin\Modules folder already exists.
Okay -- installed FSUIPC5 into "J:\Lockheed Martin\Modules\FSUIPC5.DLL"
Looking for the current user's Application Data path:
... found as "C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Roaming"
Now finding \Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.CFG for all users, including this one
Looking in "C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Roaming"
Found Prepar3D.CFG in "C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.CFG"
Now checking DLL.XML ...
... There is a previous DLL.XML, checking for FSUIPC5 section.
... FSUIPC5 section already exists but will be replaced.
... FSUIPC5 section of DLL.XML written okay
Now checking for a SimConnect.XML file ...
... No SimConnect.XML file found. This is okay.
Looking in "C:\Users\All Users\AppData\Roaming"
 ... No Prepar3D.CFG there
Looking in "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming"
 ... No Prepar3D.CFG there
Looking in "C:\Users\Default User\AppData\Roaming"
 ... No Prepar3D.CFG there
Now installing additional files into the "Modules\FSUIPC Documents" folder:
   Installed "Offset Mapping for PMDG 737NGX.pdf" okay
   Installed "Offset Mapping for PMDG 777X.pdf" okay
   Installed "Offset Mapping for PMDG 747QOTSII.pdf" okay
===========================================================
All installer tasks completed.
Registration dialog exit: selected  FSUIPC CHECK
Checking FSUIPC registration ...
Registration check for FSUIPC5 was cancelled or failed! (result code 10)
*************** End of Install Log ***************
On startup the installer popped up as always with registration window and I chose check existing registration as I have done in the past and an error window Code 10 appeared stating FSUIP entry does not exist.
My FSUIPC5. key file is residing in J:\Prepar3d\modules and has a file date of 21/11/2017.
I would appreciate some advice on what I have done wrong and how to restore my registration in the FSUIPC menu window.
Cheers
Alex
PS. Prepar3d.cfg file is located in C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d v4
By the way, the key file should be in  J:\Lockheed Martin\Modules and not 'J:\Prepar3d\modules'  as mentioned....
John, thank you this alerted me to the problem and it now comes up registered after copying the key file into it. I suspect I have a bigger problem because I appear to have created two installs of P3D with the update to 4.4.
Cheers for the quick reply and Merry Christmas to you.
