Robertmoore Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 I have FSUIPC4 installed because it is required for running AIvlasoft EFB. When I launch FSX it says that FSUIPC is not appropriate for FSX - but do I want to run it anyway? If I answer No then FSX runs fine but plane always defaults to Zurich and I don't have moving map . If I say Yes, then FSX closes down. I wondered whether I had an out of date version of FSUIPC4, so downloaded latest version but when I tried to install it, I got a message to say that the installed version was later than the version I was trying the install. So I'm rather stuck at present. All help welcome! Robert
Thomas Richter Posted September 22, 2019 Report Posted September 22, 2019 Hi, what latest version of FSUIPC do you try to install please? Did you follow the installation guide? Thomas
Robertmoore Posted September 24, 2019 Author Report Posted September 24, 2019 Thanks Thomas, I installed FSUIPC4 4.971 and followed instructions. Robert
Thomas Richter Posted September 24, 2019 Report Posted September 24, 2019 Hi, version 4.971 is already very old. Please use latest version with the installer, Install FSUIPC4.974 , and run the installer as Administrator, right click on it and select "Run as Administrator". Thomas
Robertmoore Posted September 25, 2019 Author Report Posted September 25, 2019 Thanks Thomas, I will do this at the weekend. I thought I had downloaded the latest version from the website! Robert
Robertmoore Posted September 26, 2019 Author Report Posted September 26, 2019 Managed to do this earlier than I anticipated. Peculiar; I got the same message that the installed version was later than the new, but I installed anyhow. Then FSX warned that it was incompatible, but I was still able to launch FSX (last time it closed). Thereafter everything seemed to work fine, it doesn't default to Zurich and I have my aircraft on the moving map etc . Don't know what went wrong, but all seems to be well at the end inspite of the messages! Thanks for the help Thomas Robert
