Hello

Everytime I try to install and run the FSUIPC.DLL, I end up getting an error: IPC message failure Not correct FSUIPC installation.

I have notice that there is a FSUI.DLL Already placed in the modules folder in FS. (which indicates a larger file size then the FSUIPC.DLL provided with the fSUPC.ZIP)

I had backed up the FSUI.DLL and replaced it with this FSUIPC.DLL and then I get all kind of errors with loading FS2004 ACOF in recards to the following files not about to be utilized

Control.dll

DEMO.DLL

FACILITIES.DLL

FE.DLL

INSTRUCTOR.DLL

MAIN.DLL

MULTIPLAYER.DLL

WEATHER.DLL

When this all occurs FS Asks to send Error report to MS and then shuts down. After restoring all files to the default installation FS works again.

How do I go about correcting this bug fix?

If i leave the default files in place and run Traffic look or Weather Look The following error occurs "error: IPC message failure Not correct FSUIPC installation." What should I do or better yet What did I miss??

When you say "run the FSUIPC.DLL", how are you "running" it? It runs only when you load FS, it cannot run on its own.

The error "Not correct FSUIPC installation" is not one from FSUIPC, so it must be from something else. What are you running which tries to use FSUIPC?

I have notice that there is a FSUI.DLL Already placed in the modules folder in FS.

That is part of FS's own "User Interface". It is nothing whatsoever to do with FSUIPC.

I am not surprised. Many things cannot work whjen you remove parts of FS like that! Please leave it alone.

What version of FSUIPC have you installed? The current version is 3.11. Please show me the FSUIPC.LOG file, which you will find in the Modules folder too.

Same for TrafficLook and WeatherSet -- check their versions numbers by right-clicking on the files, selecting Properties and Version. It sounds like you are using old (pre-FSUIPC 3) versions of those utilities rather than the ones which are supplied with FSUIPC version 3, in the ZIP.

Sorry poor choice of words. You are correct. On the other hand if it is not install its not running while running FS.

I have the latest version of FSUIPC 3.11.. The FSUIPC.LOG seems to not be working correctly because I am unable to locate said file in modules fold as you indicated. Since FS will not start with the FSUIPC.DLL in place there is not log file generated.

When I place the FSUIPC.DLL into the modules folder as indicating the instructions. FS is unable to load

The following procedure was used

1. Downloaded FSUIPC.ZIP

2. Unzip file from Zip file to FSUIPC folder

3. Copied the FSUIPC.DLL into the modules folder as instructed

4. Closed all open windows and started FS

5. Errors occurred with the following

Control.dll

DEMO.DLL

FACILITIES.DLL

FE.DLL

INSTRUCTOR.DLL

MAIN.DLL

MULTIPLAYER.DLL

WEATHER.DLL

These files are also in the modules folder.

6. Closed FS and removed FSUIPC.DLL from modules folder

7. Restarted FS which now started and ran ok

I do however have added additional aircrafts and make me wonder if some of those are somehow incompatable with FSUIPC.

I have removed Added Aircraft addon.

Those programs are from the same ZIP i download but still have the same error results

The TrafficLook and WeatherSet which were include with the FSUIPC.DLL version 3.11 are indicated with the following versions

TrafficLook version 1.4.1.0

WeatherSet version 1.6.8.0

Those are what came with the Zip file FSUIPC

Ah, that is an entirely different matter. Obviously if FSUIPC is not running then no programs which access it will find it, and similarly it cannot produce a LOG file!

What does FS say when you attempt to load it with FSUIPC installed? I've not heard of any similar problem with FSUIPC installed before.

Errors occurred with the following

Control.dll

DEMO.DLL

FACILITIES.DLL

FE.DLL

INSTRUCTOR.DLL

MAIN.DLL

MULTIPLAYER.DLL

WEATHER.DLL

What errors? How are these reported? What has this to do with FSUIPC? These are all standard main parts of FS. If you did delete FSUI.DLL, which is part of FS and nothing to do with FSUIPC, then you will get many errors!!

I do however have added additional aircrafts and make me wonder if some of those are somehow incompatable with FSUIPC.

But nothing like that will stop FS loading. If FS isn't loading, what is happening instead? Do you mean you click on FS's icon and NOTHING happens, or what? I'm afraid I simply cannot picture what you are saying.

After Spending approximately 7 hours on this bug fix I finally got my problem fixed in recard to the FSUIPC.

It apears to have been bad Download and installation. Not exactly sure of the specifics. I just kept working with it and finally have it working now

Thanks for you time and troubles
