Relayer2112 Posted June 24, 2020 Report Posted June 24, 2020 Hello, I've recently transitioned to P3D v5 and FSUIPC6, on a new PC. On trying to assign my throttle quadrant axes through FSUIPC nothing is being recognised from that device. Stick and pedals are being recognised as normal. The throttle definitely has power, and I've been using it through P3D's own assignment tool for a few days. It also reads fine in DCS. All devices have the latest device drivers installed. A scan through the forum revealed one person who encountered a similar issue but unfortunately no solution was posted as it simply 'went away' for that user. Log, INI and JoyScan are all attached. On checking the log, there seems to be some issues: 141 ---------------------- Joystick Device Scan ----------------------- 141 Product= Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals 141 Manufacturer= Saitek 141 Vendor=06A3, Product=0763 (Version 1.1) 172 GUIDs returned for product: VID_06A3&PID_0763: 172 GUID= {CAECA370-AA6B-11EA-8005-444553540000} 172 Details: Btns=0, POVs=(0, 0, 0, 0), Cal=x00000000, Max=R511,U0,V0,X127,Y127,Z0 172 Product= Saitek Pro Flight X-55 Rhino Throttle 172 Manufacturer= Madcatz 172 Serial Number= G0016598 172 Vendor=0738, Product=A215 (Version 0.119) 172 Product= Saitek Pro Flight X-55 Rhino Stick 172 Manufacturer= Madcatz 187 Serial Number= PP001377 187 Vendor=0738, Product=2215 (Version 0.87) 187 GUIDs returned for product: VID_0738&PID_2215: 187 GUID= {CAEBB910-AA6B-11EA-8001-444553540000} 187 Details: Btns=0, POVs=(0, 0, 0, 0), Cal=x00000000, Max=R0,U0,V0,X0,Y0,Z0 187 GUID= {CAEC0730-AA6B-11EA-8002-444553540000} 187 Details: Btns=17, POVs=(0, 0, 0, 0), Cal=x00000000, Max=R4095,U0,V0,X65535,Y65535,Z0 187 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 187 WARNING: Joystick ID 0 is duplicated in Registry 187 WARNING: Joystick ID 0 is duplicated in Registry 203 Device acquired for use: 203 Joystick ID = 2 (Registry okay) 203 2=Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals 203 2.GUID={CAECA370-AA6B-11EA-8005-444553540000} 203 Device acquired for use: 203 Joystick ID = 2 (Registry okay) 203 2=Saitek Pro Flight X-55 Rhino Throttle 203 2.GUID={CAECA370-AA6B-11EA-8005-444553540000} 203 Device acquired for use: 203 Joystick ID = 1 (Registry okay) 203 1=Saitek Pro Flight X-55 Rhino Stick 203 1.GUID={CAEC0730-AA6B-11EA-8002-444553540000} 203 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Many thanks, Stuart FSUIPC6.ini FSUIPC6.log FSUIPC6.JoyScan.csv
John Dowson Posted June 25, 2020 Report Posted June 25, 2020 Hi Stuart, looks like your registry entries are a bit of a mess as you have multiple entries for the throttle with an id of 0 and also with an id of 2, which is the same as your rudder pedals. First, try setting the joystick id of your throttle to 0 in your ini, i.e. [JoyNames] AutoAssignLetters=No 0=Saitek Pro Flight X-55 Rhino Throttle 0.GUID={CAECA370-AA6B-11EA-8005-444553540000} 1=Saitek Pro Flight X-55 Rhino Stick 1.GUID={CAEC0730-AA6B-11EA-8002-444553540000} Then start P3D and see if FSUIPC can correct this for you. If you still have issues, then repost your .log, .ini and .JoyScan.csv files and we'll see what needs removing from the registry. John
Relayer2112 Posted June 25, 2020 Author Report Posted June 25, 2020 I've set up the ini file as above and checked that it saved, however after running P3D, I find that the joystick IDs in the ini file have reverted. The forum won't allow me to upload the log as I can apparently only upload 10.24kB? FSUIPC6.JoyScan.csv FSUIPC6.ini

First though, try remapping your joystick ids using the JoyIds program. See: Not sure if the download link in that post is still valid though, but you can download from here: https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13009 You need to remap your throttle to use the id of 0.
Relayer2112 Posted June 25, 2020 Author Report Posted June 25, 2020 Okay, remapping the joystick IDs seemed to do the trick, and I can now assign controls to the throttle. Thanks for the help!
