Hello John/Pete,

Need your help here...

I purchased the FSUIPC6 update on Simmarket (PO# 2310298) back in April 2020. I did not download and install it until today given I was waiting for the release of the PMDG 777 for P3dv5 to install P3dv5 and FSUIPC6 on my system.

I have followed the instructions of installation to the letter and for some reason the key is just not being generated and placed in the FSUIPC folder once the installation is complete. During the installation when the FSUIPC6 Registration window pops up, I enter all the details and when I click register, a message pops up: FSUIPC6 registration details have been validated.

I have tried reinstalling FSUIPC6 3 times: same result: no key generated and inside P3Dv5 FSUIPC6 tells me I have an unregistered version.

I checked the time of my system when installing and it was on the minute.

I have attached the installFSUIPC.log

Thanks and if you need any more info let me know.

Derek

I was finally able to resolve this by manually creating a key myself with my registration information and saving it in the installation folder.

It now works in P3Dv5.

I have had a few reports of the installer not creating the key file. Usually its a permissions issue and installing in a different folder solves the issue, although you can also create the key file manually. It is recommended to install FSUIPC6 outside of your P3D add-ons folder if possible, and just use that location for your add-on.xml file.
