yama Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Hi Pete, I wonder if you could help me. Some months ago I purchase a PFC system with software to run the system on FS 2002 (not 2004 out yet). I worked OK but recently I noticed that Ailerons on Ciirus ii do not calibrate at all the bar below the check mark box simply stays left. I have the most recent FSUIPC and PFC.dll installed (I actually purchased your full FSUIPC). Just yesterday UT Patch came out while it gives a big warning sign that we should delete FSUIPC of the original UT and otherwise it does a lot of bad things. Here I wonder my problem of no ailerons calibration should be one of the problems or anything else, and if you could tell me how to fix, I'll be very happy (I'm no computer nerd.) Thanks and regards. Yama

The calibration screen shows the same values as input to FS, so are you saying your aileron control doesn't work? There's no difference in treatment of any one axis over another in the PFC driver, with the exception of the Flaps axis with detentes. If you are getting problems on one axis only I think you should contact PFC as it sounds like the hardware may be playing up. Just yesterday UT Patch came out while it gives a big warning signthat we should delete FSUIPC of the original UT and otherwise it does a lot of bad things. I saw that announcement. I have no idea what they are on about. Trying to scare folks for some reason. The older (pre Version 3.xx) versions of FSUIPC do not run in FS2004 in any case. FS will say it cannot run that DLL , and give you the option to try in any case, and then you say no. Regards, Pete
yama Posted November 5, 2003 Author Report Posted November 5, 2003 Hi Pete, Thanks for a quick response. I appreciate it very much. To your quiestion, the control simply does not perform. For example, when it take off, I noticed a very severe eering left (no way of correcting even by using the rudder pedals). What is interesting to me is the yoke on Cirrus II works for up and down but not left and right (I wonder if the problem is a hardware issue or if it a software issue. Thanks. Yama

Since all axes are treated identically by the software, it just has to be a hardware issue. Probably a dry joint or a loose connector, something similar. You need to contact PFC for advice. They will probably give you instructions for dismantling and checking certain things inside. Otherwise, if it is a recent purchase, shipping it back for repair may be advisable. Regards, Pete
