J.C. Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Hi Pete, Lately, I've been experiencing a strange problem with my PFC Jet Column yoke. Shortly after take-off (for the first two or three thousand feet) and sometimes while on final approach (in roughly the same altitude range), my yoke has become very sensitive. I've tried increasing the pitch sensitivity curve, but the "touchiness" is still there. After climbing through maybe four or five thousand feet, it loses it's extra sensitive nature. (BTW this mostly happens with the PSS Dash 8). Looking at the sensitivity curve while moving the yoke to the extremes, it doesn't appear that the yoke is the problem. Do you have any recommendations to assist me with this dilemna? BTW, I'm using FSUIPC version 2.974 and PFC dll version 1.6. Thanks for any advice J.C. (MYNN)

They are completely ignorant of altitude. Are you sure what you are seeing is not simple over-control due to poor responsiveness? If so then it is the performance of FS near ground which is the problem. Any slowness in responses to inputs can look like over-sensitivity because to tend to over-control when you see that your alterations appear to have no effect. If this is the problem, then I think your only recourse is a faster PC or reduction in some of FS's settings. After climbing through maybe four or five thousand feet, it loses it's extra sensitive nature. Climbing away from the performance problems of ground and airport details. Regards, Pete
J.C. Posted November 8, 2003 Author Report Posted November 8, 2003 Thanks for the reply Pete. I will try to turn down my sliders and see if it does the trick.
