GLC Posted August 12, 2021 Report Posted August 12, 2021 Hello, I am using P3d V4.5 HF3. with FSUIPC 5. I am not using P3d V5 and its unlikely I ever will. Had some Active Sky issues and they recommended upgrading to latest version of FSUIPC which is 6. I cannot find the user manual for FSUIPC on line to look at but I would dread having to reprogram all my Saitek controllers, liveries etc, airplanes and that has been a big reason I have not upgraded to this new version. Can one in essence copy over the contents of the FSUIPC ini file to the new version and be done with it and start using the simulator again? Using registered version of course. Thanks, Greg

Yes - you can just rename your FSUIPC5.ini to FSUIPC6.ini (and move to the new installation folder, if changed). However, I don't think you need to upgrade your FSUIPC installation if not intending to update to P3Dv5. There are some new features in FSUIPC6, but the only change to the AS interface in FSUIPC6 is related to P3Dv5.
GLC Posted August 13, 2021 Author Report Posted August 13, 2021 Thanks, I will hold off for now. Great to know though if I do upgrade it will be so easy. Greg
