I used to have MSFS2020 on steam. After uninstalling Steam my FSUIPC7 is still trying to connect to Steam which has been uninstalled. I currently use the download version of MSFS2020 from Microsoft. It worked fine until I decided to get rid of steam. I've tried uninstalling FSUIPC and reinstalling but its still trying to connect to steam which everything regarding steam has been removed. I get this message "steam//rungameid/1250410" I have the paid version of FSUIPC

First, please make sure that you are using the latest version of FSUIPC7, which is v7.2.12. If not, please update.

Before you install again, please uninstall completely using the uninstaller or via the windows app management dialog.

One uninstalled, and before re-installing, you need to remove (delete or rename) the UserCfg.opt file from your steam folder, which can be found under:
    [Your user account]AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator

HI, I lose connection between FSUIPS7 (licence) and MSFS2020 on W11 PC  at least ten times during a 20min flight !

running or not as admin, perfect ethernet and network connections, powerful PC

installed FSUIPC with option to start MSFS, uninstalled a tried without this option (only opportunity to be able to reload FSUIPC when losing connection)

it's boring: be obliged to use MSFS commands attributions as never know when this will happen (while landing... a pleasure),

of course also stops connection with PlanG: which means obliged to reload FSUIPC a lot of times and reconnect PlanG

WideFS is used on a slave PC: but I must say that for the moment it is used just as a signal to be aware of the lost of connection: a shame and pity

everything was fine with FSX but now...

... would really be pleased to get a solution

in attachments the FSUIPC & WideFS ini& log if it may help

Thanks for attention

(&sorry for my english if mistakes & regards from french speaking part of belgium)

You should set this option in the [General] section of your FSUIPC7.ini file:
     DisableMSFSMonitor=Enum

You may also need to install the combined VC++ redistributable package. Please see the README.txt file provided in the FSUIPC7 zip file you downloaded.

Thank you so much !

ok now : modified General Ini file as required

and installed VC++ (x64 only)   2015>2002 (found with your provided link)

and ... perfect now

Be sure I have read a lot of your manual but... must have missed that point in the readMe: sorry for asking you something you already  explained

but mostly: THANKS for follow-up !

Its usually beneficial to also install the x86 ones as well. Although not needed by FSUIPC, this can prevent issues with older 32-bit programs. Also does no harm.
