Conz Posted May 27, 2022 Report Posted May 27, 2022 I was wondering if it was possible to use fsuipc to sync the sim clock back to the current time while using live weather after having used time acceleration for a while ? When you use live weather in MSFS you can't adjust the time any more, but if you do a really long flight with some acceleration to skip the boring parts you end up in a situation where for you the sky is black but if you use something like Vatsim, the ATC on the other side thinks it's noon and tries to make you land on an unlit runway. Apparently this used to be an option in fscopilot but from what I can tell that doesn't work with MSFS2020.

There is no control/offset to do this directly. However, you could possibly write a lua script to achieve this - in the lua you need to determine the current local or zulu time (I am guessing there should be a way to do this in lua but don't know off-hand - try google) and then set the time via the local and/or zulu time offsets (see the Offset status document). Probably better to do this in zulu time, as the local time for your PC is most probably a different time-zone to the local time in the FS. John
Conz Posted May 27, 2022 Author Report Posted May 27, 2022 Time to dive into lua scripting then, thanks.
