mikerecomes Posted September 20, 2022 Report Posted September 20, 2022 (edited) New here but have had FSUIPC for FSX but now have MSFS and nothing since but problems. I even tried to get a refund. Seemed to have it going ok at first but then during flights it would drop assignments and sometimes would take a reassigment sometimes not. Now it does not even start up while MSFS is going. Brand new I9 3080T! 32MB Dominator 2TB Samsung SSD MSFS SE Been trying get it working one issue after another for almost a week now since purchase Im about to uninstall and write it up as a mistake just totally disappointed and all the other pple I see having trouble with it there should be a warning issued where it is purchased letting pple know that it is not stable in MSFS Edited September 20, 2022 by mikerecomes
John Dowson Posted September 20, 2022 Report Posted September 20, 2022 MSFS is a very different beast to FSX and takes some time an patience to configure correctly... But what exactly is your problem with FSUIPC7? 4 hours ago, mikerecomes said: Seemed to have it going ok at first but then during flights it would drop assignments and sometimes would take a reassigment sometimes not. What do you mean by this? Are you assigning in FSUIPC?? Can you show me your FSUIPC7.ini and an FSUIPC7.log file, generated when you experience this issue, and preferably with relevant logging enabled - maybe start with Buttons & Keys and Events, but if your issue is with axes assignments you will need Axes Controls logged. 4 hours ago, mikerecomes said: Now it does not even start up while MSFS is going. Do you mean that FSUIPC7 does not auto-start? If that is the case, please see Otherwise, please explain what you mean. 4 hours ago, mikerecomes said: all the other pple I see having trouble with it there should be a warning issued where it is purchased letting pple know that it is not stable in MSFS I don't know what you mean...of course people have issues (which I am here to help with), but FSUIPC7 is stable in MSFS. Almost all reports of CTDs are MSFS CTDs, not FSUIPC7. A trial license is also available for FSUIPC7, and I recommend you always try with the trial license before you buy. John
mikerecomes Posted September 20, 2022 Author Report Posted September 20, 2022 I dont know what is going on with it. I have steam MSFS. I install the unzipped FSUIPC 7 . I follow the instructions and I have out of frustration uninstalled and reinstalled probably 10 times since I got it last week. I work a lot now and love flight sim but have absolutely no time to take trying to make something work that from the start has not worked. My other addons are fine. Administrator privileges, shut off virus care. Tell me where to go from here. Now be nice. It is uninstalled.
John Dowson Posted September 21, 2022 Report Posted September 21, 2022 I cannot help you if you do not tell me what the problem is - just saying that it has not worked is of no help. What exactly isn't working? Once FSUIPC7 is installed, does it auto-start with MSFS? Can you start it manually? Once FSUIPC7 is running, you can access it from your system tray or use the default hot key combination Alt+F to show the main window?
mikerecomes Posted September 23, 2022 Author Report Posted September 23, 2022 reinstalled all was well yesterday after reinstall and today none of the button assignments work. Last install axis assignments dropped during flight. One install MSFS would open but not FSUIPC Maybe sell a product AFTER you get it working. I see so amy posts about it not working I am not going to use it any more. Ill take the loss of my hard earned money. Not the first time I paid for something that doesnt work and I notice now days software sellers are including in small print you buy too bad if doesn't work no refund. I tried get my money back right away but no go. MSFS running on ultra and high end addons all running without a hitch.
John Dowson Posted September 24, 2022 Report Posted September 24, 2022 There are a few issues at the moment since the SU10 release.... 12 hours ago, mikerecomes said: reinstalled all was well yesterday after reinstall and today none of the button assignments work. How are your buttons assigned? If using lvars/hvars, then these are currently not working in 7.3.8 with SU10. There is a beta available that fixes thiis alonf with a few other issues, available here: 12 hours ago, mikerecomes said: Last install axis assignments dropped during flight. Axis assignments don't drop, so there must be something else going on...there are various issues with axes assignments since SU10, which I am still investigating. For the time being, make sure that you have either assigned with 'send Direct to FSUIPC calibration' and have calibrated, or have assigned to 'send to FS as normal axis' but with no calibration (remove/delete if you have calibrated with this option, as that is known to cause issues). 12 hours ago, mikerecomes said: Maybe sell a product AFTER you get it working. I see so amy posts about it not working It WAS working...the SU10 release has broken many things in the SDK, especially with SimConnect. There are issues after every major SDK update. 12 hours ago, mikerecomes said: notice now days software sellers are including in small print you buy too bad if doesn't work no refund. A full trial license is ALWAYS available, and I recomend that you try the software BEFORE you buy, as it says on the SimMarket sales page: Quote It is recommended to download and read the documentation and try the unregistered version before purchase. You can also try the registered facilities using a trial license, available here: https://forum.simflight.com/topic/92702-fsuipc7-trial-license-available-here/ As it is a digital downloaded product (with no on-line license verification), once a license is issued it cannot be revoked. This is why there are no refunds, and you are expected to try the product before purchasing to see if it is suitable for your needs. FSUIPC7 is very powerful, and essential for many home cockpit builders but it is certainly not suitable for everyone, John
