Stephan Aitch Posted September 24, 2022 Report Posted September 24, 2022 Dear, after SU10 FSUIPC just closes when loading the latest experimental Version of the FBW A320FSUIPC7.log FSUIPC7_prev.log FSUIPC7.ini
John Dowson Posted September 24, 2022 Report Posted September 24, 2022 Try the development version then... I will look at this, when I have time (i.e. maybe in a couple of days), but as FBW does not even support the development version. I doubt there is much I can do... John
John Dowson Posted September 24, 2022 Report Posted September 24, 2022 Also I see you are still using 7.3.8 - you need to use the latest FSUIPC7 beta, currently 7.3.9h, with SU10 - available here: John
HAM016 Posted September 24, 2022 Report Posted September 24, 2022 Hi John! I installed version 7.3.9h today. I have two problems: 1. The switch assignments for the FBW are no longer saved. I still have a backup copy of the older FSUIPC files. Are the FBW programmings stored in one of the files? 2. We need an update of the FSUIPC_WAPID.dll so that I can use my home cockpit hardware again. Thank you very much for your effort!

You will find that in the Utils folder of your FSUIPC7 installation. 3 minutes ago, HAM016 said: 1. The switch assignments for the FBW are no longer saved. Your assignments are stored in the FSUIPC7.ini file, and possibly another .ini file under the Profiles sub-folder if using 'profiles in separate files'. If you change the installation location, you will need to copy across from your original installation folder. Bur these files are not touched when you re-install,
HAM016 Posted September 24, 2022 Report Posted September 24, 2022 1.Thank you very much. I'll test that tomorrow. Hope it all works out :) 2.I just installed the new FSUIPC as intended. And the programmed switch assignments seem to need reprogramming. I'll test the backup files tomorrow.

They really shouldn't... can you show me your FSUIPC7.ini file and an FSUIPC7.log generated with logging for Buttons & Keys and Events activated - load your aircraft, press an assigned button/switch or two, then exit.

John Dowson Posted September 25, 2022 Report Posted September 25, 2022 No need to post logs if its working... 1
HAM016 Posted September 25, 2022 Report Posted September 25, 2022 Hi! These are the actual files. The "FSUIPC7old"-files are the files out of the older version with the programmed swith assignments. FSUIPC7.ini FSUIPC7.log
HAM016 Posted September 26, 2022 Report Posted September 26, 2022 Hi John. could you see my problem So I still have the "old" FSUIPC files on which the programming is stored. Can I just replace the relevant files?

Strange - I will take a look to see if I can prevent this. 48 minutes ago, HAM016 said: Can I just replace the relevant files? Yes - just rename the FSUIPC7old.ini as FSUIPC7.ini and drop that into your installation folder. I released 7.3.9 this morning so you should also update to that. Sorry for the delay...missed this posts yesterday somehow... Regards, John
HAM016 Posted September 26, 2022 Report Posted September 26, 2022 Unfortunately that does not work. I replaced the "old" fsuipc.ini file several times. But after starting FSUIPC the programming entries are all gone
John Dowson Posted September 27, 2022 Report Posted September 27, 2022 That is very strange - this would normally indicate that the presets could not be loaded, but the log you posted, truncated as it was, still showed that presets had been loaded: Quote 328 7945 Calculator Code presets have been loaded and are available for use Do you have presets available? Can you show me a full FSUIPC7.log file please as the last one ended after 31 seconds - make sure you have exited FSUIPC7 before attachung the log file.
John Dowson Posted September 27, 2022 Report Posted September 27, 2022 It looks like the assignments are now loading before the presets have been loaded, resulting in presets to the general buttons being lost. I will fix this asap.... Sorry about this - I will post an update soon... John
John Dowson Posted September 27, 2022 Report Posted September 27, 2022 Please try the attached - I am going to release this shortly. John FSUIPC7.exe
John Dowson Posted September 27, 2022 Report Posted September 27, 2022 FYI, 7.3.10 has also now been released that should resolve this issue. John
