OsmarJunior Posted September 25, 2022 Report Posted September 25, 2022 Hello guys.! I formatted my pc and after that I couldn't use my settings anymore. I made a copy of the FSUIPC7 folder but my settings didn't work again. What could be wrong with my files? Thanks in advance for the help.
John Dowson Posted September 25, 2022 Report Posted September 25, 2022 You really need to post your FSUIPC7.ini and FSUIPC7.log files if you have such problems. However, there are currently many issues since the SY10 update. There is a beta available that fixes some of these issues, but not all, available here: There are still some issues with axes assignments. At the moment, if you have assigned an axis using 'Send to FS as normal axis' and have also calibrated in FSUIPC, then this causes errors. For such axis assignments, you have remove/delete the calibration. John
OsmarJunior Posted September 26, 2022 Author Report Posted September 26, 2022 (edited) Hi John. Here are the files: Thanks for the help! Edited October 2, 2022 by OsmarJunior
John Dowson Posted September 27, 2022 Report Posted September 27, 2022 You are using an old and unsupported version of FSUIPC7 - 7.3.3. The latest and only supported version is 7.3.9 - please update. If you still have issues, repost your files but please make sure that you have quite/exited FSUIPC7 before attaching them. John
John Dowson Posted September 27, 2022 Report Posted September 27, 2022 FYI, 7.3.10 has also now been released, This contains a minor update that prevents general button/axes assignments to presets being lost. John
OsmarJunior Posted October 2, 2022 Author Report Posted October 2, 2022 (edited) Hi John, I upgraded to the new version, but I still can't read my old settings. 😞 Here are the files: Thks! FSUIPC7.log FSUIPC7.ini Edited October 2, 2022 by OsmarJunior
John Dowson Posted October 2, 2022 Report Posted October 2, 2022 Your device GUIDs have changed - I have corrected for this in the attached FSUIPC7.ini if you could try this. Your log/ini files also shows a missing controller (LEFT VPC Stick WarBRD), but there are no assignments to this controller. John FSUIPC7.ini
OsmarJunior Posted October 3, 2022 Author Report Posted October 3, 2022 John, thanks for helping me! Now I understand how the joystick identification works in the .ini file. 🙂 Now I have another problem, in the calibration of the axis that I use for AXIS_THROTTLE_SET. Throttle is inverted in game, I've tried pressing the Rev button in the calibration menu but it didn't work. What am I doing wrong this time? Thank you in advance.

If you want to calibrate, then you have to assign to 'Send direct to FSUIPC Calibration'. If assigning with 'Send to FS as normal axis', then you cannot calibrate - you have to use FSUIPC's axis scaling functionality. To do this, you need to add ',*-1' to the axis assignment line in your FSUIPC7.ini. Either do this when FSUIPC7 is not running, ot if running make the changes when the axis assignment panel is open and once saved click the Reload button. See the Advanced user guide on axis scaling for more details. John
OsmarJunior Posted October 4, 2022 Author Report Posted October 4, 2022 I finally managed to sort out my backup. After understanding a little more about the ini file settings I decided to create a new ini file by manually copying my settings. I was wrong when creating the axis, and I did it the way you recommended. Thank you so much for your time and patience in helping me.
John Dowson Posted October 4, 2022 Report Posted October 4, 2022 No problem, glad you got it sorted and thanks for the update. John 1
