FSUIPC6 and Prepar3D v4

Recommended Posts

Dear All

I just recently downloaded and registered FSUIPC6 for Prepar3D v4. However when I start prepar3D, I got the message "memory problems detected, operations restricted", and after accepting the message and initiating any flight prepare3D closes without any advice.

I tried uninstalling FSUIPC6 and installing FSUIPC5 and works without any issues, however I cannot use the registration from the FSUIPC6 version, and there's no way I can buy the FSUIPC5 version because seems to be unsupported.

Any help will be appreciated.

The .Log file attached is the one I got while trying the FSUIPC6 version.

Regards

FmolinaresR

You have installed FSUIPC6 under your P3Dv4 folder, which is under your Windows Program Files folder. You should not install there - please re-install into a non-windows protected folder and try again.

FSUIPC5 is still supported but no longer available for sale.

Do you have an FSUIPC6.log file - if so, and you get the same problem when re-installing into a different folder, then please show me that file.

That is very strange, but I don't know how FSUIPC6 could cause this, especially if you get no such error with FSUIPC5.

Dear Mr. Dowson

I reinstalled the FSUIPC6 version using the add-on.xml and the .dll options, also tried a different folder and drive (D:). Unfortunately had the same results (memory problems detected, operations restricted and subsequent sim crash).

This is the log file regarding last installation.

By the way, for some reason, the installer did not remove the FSUIPC5 version, I had to manually delete it. I ran the installer "as an administrator"

Regards and thank you for your prompt reply.

Can you please show me a screenshot of this error as this is new to me.

I need to see your FSUIPC6.log file, not the installation log. If no such file is created, then FSUIPC6 hasn't been started,

This is very strange as well. The FSUIPC6 installer will detect if FSUIPC5 is installed and uninstall this the first time that it is ran, and it seems that you have ran this several times already. if you remove manually, you also need to check your DLL.xml file and remove the FSUIPC entry from there if present.

What version of P3Dv4 are you using?

Prepar3D 4 version 4.3

I've been trying to upload the screenshot, but the file is too heavy to be uploaded (more than 9.9 kb).

The error message shows as a white window which title says "Cannot Operate!" and inside the window says "memory problems detected!, Operations restricted"

I checked the DLL.xml file and deleted the FSUIPC5 entry, reloaded the sim, and the issue persists.

There looks to be an issue in your P3D installation:

Quote

     2766 Exception 5 "VERSION_MISMATCH", Ref 1, Version 3.0: Open: SimConnect Version incorrect!
2766 Cannot operate: something wrong with SimConnect library

Can you uninstall the P3D client, install that again and try again.

Dear Mr Dowson

Problem Solved!

I went to Prepar3D website and re-downloaded the newest "Client" installer and followed the instructions to re-install it. Then I re-installed FSUIPC6 and everything worked perfect.

This is the page I used to do a manual update of the P3D client:

Updating Prepar3D using the Update Component Installers - Prepar3D Forums

Thank you again for your prompt support!
