koljaff Posted August 8, 2023 Report Posted August 8, 2023 Hi everyone I`m in need of some assistance with FSUICP7 and the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, I`ve had the basic free version for a while with some other program I downloaded a while back not sure if it was self loading cargo..... anyways, I decided to get the pmdg 737-700 for a better experience than the standard MSFS where half the switches are "inop". However now I`ve got the situation where I`ve got more functioning switches but can`t seem to get them to work. I read something online that either FSUIPC or Spad.next were the solution to this, and with already having the free version and no issues I opted to buy the licence for FSUIPC. But after installing and quite a few hours messing around trying to work it out I`m no futher forward. I`ve tried reading through different forums and bits of information but I give up. None of it is very clear, although I will add I`m not very pc minded. I have upgraded to the latest version and its saying its connected, but when I try to open up the console log thing its not showing like anything I`ve seen so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should have tried the trial license first, available from a post at the top of this forum. 9 hours ago, koljaff said: But after installing and quite a few hours messing around trying to work it out I`m no futher forward. See the following website for a list of available presets, where you can search for a preset for specific aircraft and function: https://hubhop.mobiflight.com/presets/. All presets are available for assignment in FSUIPC7 by selecting the Select for preset checkbox. There are also additional offsets for the PMDG 737 that you can use but you must first enable the SDK data broadcasts in the aircraft. See the provided document Offset Mapping for PMDG 737-700.pdf. Your question is also very general - If you have a specific question on a switch assignment I can try to answer that.
koljaff Posted August 9, 2023 Author Report Posted August 9, 2023 Thanks for the reply, sorry I didnt explain better, in a nutshell I`m trying to configure my honeycomb alpha/bravo switches, namely the beacon, landing, taxi, nav and strobe lights as are already on the yoke but don`t work on the PMDG in sim itself, also I was trying to use the switches on the throttle and set them to retract/deploy landing lights. Thanks

As I said, please look at the MF presets. For example, for the landing lights alone, there are 28 presets available:
koljaff Posted August 9, 2023 Author Report Posted August 9, 2023 Dont worry about it, its way too complicated for my limited abillities, I`ll just stick to using my mouse, thanks though.
John Dowson Posted August 9, 2023 Report Posted August 9, 2023 It is not complicated at all. You just check Select for Preset and then select the preset you want to use from the down list. Exactly the same as assigning to an FS control, except for that you need to check Select for FS control instead.
