Harv Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 Hi, I have read almost everything I could find on the issue of using PFC controllers with MSFS using FSUIPC7. I have followed directions, loaded PFCcom64.DLL, and got as far as the pictures attached. But not getting any further. I do not know where the issue is. Following the instructions, everything was working correctly so far. I have tested the PFC CIRRUS II with the provided test app and it works fine. I am using a DB9 to USB cable. I have tried changing COM ports between COM2 and COM5. I do not have a way of confirming if the DB9 to USB cable is working properly, but maybe someone here will have some ideas. FSUIPC7 is registered version. Thank you.

Then I guess the drivers are installed... Does the test app tell you which COM port is being used? 20 minutes ago, Harv said: I have tried changing COM ports between COM2 and COM5 Did you try COM1? Most modern PC's don't have COM ports, so the cable may be on COM1, so at least try that. If that doesn't work, show me / attach your FSUIPC7.log, FSUIPC7.ini and PFCcom64.log files and I can take a look, although I'm not sure I can help much if its not detected...
Harv Posted November 1 Author Report Posted November 1 Hi, Thank you. I tried updating the drivers, but windows says all drivers are good. I still downloaded the drivers from the cable site and updated them. I am on Com1 now. Rebooted the computer everytime after every change. (going to paste the logs below) Your upload limit will increase the more you post. The files also zip/compress pretty well, as they are just text, so you can also try that next time. Your log files don't show any issues, other than your device not being detected on COM1. You need to determine what COM port your device is using, and I can't really help with this. Your device is or has previously been detected as a HID joystick type device though: 15 hours ago, Harv said: [JoyNames] 0=WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals 0.GUID={EFD3C0E0-6EDB-11EF-8001-444553540000} A=WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals A.GUID={EFD3C0E0-6EDB-11EF-8001-444553540000} B=PFC Cirrus II B.GUID={C29894E0-93C3-11EF-8001-444553540000} Although there are no entries for that device with a joyId number, which makes me suspect it was added earlier when you were using a different COM port number. Maybe try removing that entry, and go through the COM port numbers again and see for which COM port number that entry gets added Other than that, I am not sure what I can advise... maybe some other PFC Cirrus !I users can help - both @Logan Greenlee and @Jeff Enlow are PFC Cirrus II users I have helped in the past, maybe they could help with this?
Harv Posted November 3 Author Report Posted November 3 Thank you John, so far I do not know if the DB9 to USB cable is working and I can't think of a way to test that. Appreciate the contacts for Jeff and Logan, will reach out to them and ask.
