Have to "kill" and restart FSUIPC in combination with APL2

Hello and thanks in advance for your help.

I use FSUIPC in combination with A Pilots Life Vers 2 (APL2) in MSFS 2020. Worked without issues until the last days.
Now I have to close and restart FSUIPC always first to get it to work with APL2 (it doesn´t recognize the flight status anymore).
After the restart it works again. I did the "3. November Update" and tried a fresh install but that didn´t solve the problem.

Any ideas? Thanks...

Please show me /attach your FSUIPC7.log file from when you get your issue and close FSUIPC (and before you restart),

Your log files show that FSUIPC7 couldn't connect to MSFS when it was auto-started.
How long does it take from when you see the FSUIPC splash screen to when MSFS arrives to the main menu state and is ready?
You should time this and set the following parameters in the [General] section of your FSUIPC7.ini file. Lets say it took 90 seconds, then set:
    DetectToConnectDelayAuto=90
    InitialStallTime=45
    StartUpTuningDoneVersion=-1

Also, are you using/starting any other add-ons via the EXE.xml? Some starting add-ons seem to cause issues with FSUIPC getting a simconnect connection, for example FS Realistic seems to cause problems. Could you maybe show me / attach your MSFS EXE.xml file - the location of this file will be logged in your InstallFSUIPC7.log file.

You can also try the attached version. In this version, I have allowed/corrected negative InitialStallTime values. With such values, a successful open call will not time-out (and re-connect), which may help. So try this with the previous values, but set
    InitialStallTime=-10

Thanks for your reply and help. With 2024 arriving I think I will first look if and how FSUIPC will work and try your suggestions if all is running and set up.

When MSFS2024 is released, I will look into updating FSUIPC7 and, more important, the FSUIPC7 installer so it can handle both versions, This will take me a few days, once I have the new version download and running. So, please be patient with MSFS2024.

FSUIPC7 should connect and run ok with MSFS2024, but it will use the MSFS2020 folders for many things, which I need to update and discriminate between versions, If you want to use FSUIPC7 with MSFS2024 before I update for this version, you will, at the minimum, need to manually install the FSUIPC WASM into the MSFS2024 Community folder.
You will need to manually start FSUIPC7 for use with MSFS2024, or manually update the MSFS2024' EXE.xml if you want it auto-started.

I will post details in MSFS2024 compatibility once released and I have taken a look.

Thanks. I believe with setting up and getting used to 2024 we will have enough to do to wait for a working version of FSUIPC 😄
