I generally like to think of myself as being at least tech-capable (not quite tech-savvy) but this has got me stumped!

Can someone please provide an absolute idiots guide as to how on earth I can create a keybind using FSUIPC (registered version) to turn on / off the runway turn off lights in the Fenix? I have searched through various forums but struggling to understand it all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What FS are you using, and what version of FSUIPC?

Have you tried activating logging for Events, open the logging console and see what is logged when you turn on/off the runway lights in the VC?

Always so quick with a response sir.

MSFS 2020 and FSUIPC 7.

I have the the log console open and "events" selected but it justa  constant stream of data (mostly in relation to the fuel selectors and spoilers, I simply cannot see anything in there in relation to pressing the runway turn off lights (or landing lights as though maybe I would spot this easier for some reason!). I am sat on the ground with egines off so there really shouldnt be that muhc data going through I wouldn't have thought

I would attach a screenshot but unable due to flie size!

Then please use the specific support forum for FSUIPC7 / MSFS. I will move your post.

Have you tried the available presets - FNX320_LIGHT_RWY_TURNOFF_ON, FNX320_LIGHT_RWY_TURNOFF_OFF or FNX320_LIGHT_RWY_TURNOFF_TOGGLE?

For such events that are constantly logged, you should ignore these by setting the DontLogThese ini parameter. See the Advanced User guide for details.

I simply cannot find where these presets are within FSUIPC. I'm probably missing something really obvious!

In the assignments panel. check the Select for Preset checkbox. Then the Find Preset... button to see the tree-preset selection box.

I do supply user manuals...read them!
