Hi,

I updated to v7.5.1 on Saturday and already had 5 WASM crashes. On v7.5.0 there were 0 crashes, moved back yesterday to v7.5.0 and WASM also crashed. Since the update I am only flying with fenix A321, while on the 7.5.0 I flew fenix, pmdg, ifly and ini without any problems.

Yes, the WASM crash seems to be occurring a lot more often in MSFS2024. I will look into this further in the new year and provide more information to Asobo so that they can look into it. For the time being, please turn off lvar scanning - see

Those settings should be the default in 7.5.0 & 7.5.1 due to this issue, but can be overridden with your own settings if you have a WASM ini file in your WASM persistence storage area.

I forgot to add that my issue is in MSFS2020.

There was no change at all  in the WASM between 7.5.0 and 7.5.1, so if its now crashing more frequently then this is most likely due to a sim update.
Did you check your WASM ini settings? If you have followed the advice in that post and are still seeing a WASM crash, please show me / attach your FSUIPC_WASM.log file.

I was that annoyed of those crashes that I have installed FSUIPC without WASM, reinstalled WASM again, and yes I have everything set up the same as in that post, if WASM will crash again I will attach log file.

and it have crashed again... there were errors in FSUIPC_WASM file and then END OF PROGRAM, that's first time when it looks like it, always there weren't any errors and END OF PROGRAM line at the end FSUIPC_WASM.log

No it didn't...

The END OF PROGRAM line means that the WASM exited normally as MSFS exited. The errors occur as the WASM is trying to clear things up nicely before exiting but the simconnect connection is dead. Those are nothing to worry about.

So the WASM isn't crashing - why do you think it is?

as I said that was the very first time when there was END OF PROGRAM line since my issue have started, I have now idea why. That issue was the same with END OF PROGRAM at the end and without it.

You say your WASM  is crashing. I therefore need to see a log file for this, preferably with Debug level logging enabled. There is no point attaching a log file from a session where it didn't crash.

also always after it crash it deleted those changes that I have made to LvarScanDelay according to the post

What does this mean? Deleted what changes? This makes no sense...

Why do you think the WASM had crashed? Was MSFS still running when you attached that file? If so, please always exit MSFS before attaching a WASM log file.

If the WASM did crash, it certainly didn't crash when scanning for lvars and I will need more information . Please set Debug level logging in the WASM and show me a log file with that enabled, and attached after exiting MSFS. Also please set Debug level logging in the WAPI (FSUIPC menu bar, Log -> WAPI -> Debug) and attach your FSUIPC7.log file as well as your FSUIPC_WASM.log file.

my sim has completly freezed.

Ok, so MSFS froze? If so, how did you close it? Does FSUIPC still work?

Just now, Fantommek said:

but how can I set Debug level logging in WASM?

Via the FSUIPC_WASM.ini file - see the documentation (WASM section in Advanced User guide).

It sounds like your issue is with MSFS, not the FSUIPC WASM. If MSFS has frozen, so will the FSUIPC WASM module. If the WASM module crashes, MSFS should go on regardless,,,

Note also that there were very few changes from 7.5.0 to 7.5.1, and no changes at all in the WASM. I suspect your issue may have been caused by a sim update that happened at about the same time.

I have to close it with ALT+F4, there were no other options. Therefore I have just no idea what to do with it. My sim is freezing completely while sounds etc. are still working. Also when I alt tab the sim and hold it on alt tab I can see the plane moving etc. I had the same issue a month ago, I have read on forums it might be a WASM crash, then I have noticed I don't have my FSUIPC up to date, I updated and my issue disapears - that;s why I tought it was WASM crash. I got back once I updated to v7.5.1 and that's why I tought it might be a WASM issue. I have just no idea what can I do about it... Do you think a sim reinstall might be a good idea?

And how did you solve it then?

It is not a WASM or FSUIPC issue. Check the Asobo forums for similar reports.

That is very strange... I was going to suggest monitoring the pause state in case that has been triggered, but if that was the case you wouldn't see this.
Can you set logging for Events in FSUIPC, and when this happens again show me the FSUIPC7.log file (after exiting).

So esc doesn't work? What about the FSUIPC option MSFS->Exit?
