SMN204 Posted Thursday at 07:26 PM Report Posted Thursday at 07:26 PM How to make the button held down continuously until the button is released. In the settings I check “Control to repeat while held” - the button vibrates. here is the video. In the ini file instead of RA I put HA... same thing. In ini file: ButtonRepeat=10,3 It was 20.10. But for other airplanes, I need 10.3. Maybe that's why the button vibrates like that? Is it possible that ButtonRepeat parameter is different for each airplane?

You can set a different ButtonRepeat value in profiles, so id you want to use a different value, set-up a separate profile for the aircraft and specify it there. 14 hours ago, SMN204 said: In the settings I check “Control to repeat while held” - the button vibrates. here is the video. Then this would indicate that the control being used is triggering a press and release, so you should not use that control on repeat. Why do you think this needs to be on repeat? If you want the VC button held in when you press the button, and released when you release the button, you will need to check the aircrfat to see if it has any controls to support that, and assign the press to thebutton press and the release to the button release (and no repeats!). What aircraft/function is giving this issue? If you can attach your FSUIPC7.ini I can take a look. John

Pressing and holding “L:var_PilotCws” or binding “K:SYNC_FLIGHT_DIRECTOR_PITCH” to hardware controls will now allow the aircraft to be maneuvered in pitch while temporarily disabling the autopilot pitch servo. FSUIPC7.ini 193=RA,14,CPPitch_Sync_yoke_CWS_buttons_Press,0 -{Preset Control}- With this assignment - a short press occurs, without holding it down myevents.txt 63 Pitch_Sync_yoke_CWS_buttons_Press#1 (>L:var_PilotCws) FSUIPC7.ini myevents.txt
John Dowson Posted Friday at 11:40 AM Report Posted Friday at 11:40 AM I don't have the BS Analog King Air, so I cannot take a look here. 16 hours ago, SMN204 said: In ini file: ButtonRepeat=10,3 It was 20.10. If so, set 20,10 in the [Buttons] section, and 10,3 in your [[Buttons.G1000 aircraft] section, or create a new profile for this aircraft only (based on the current profile) and set it there. If changing the repeat rate solves this issue, then it would appear that the value of the lvar L:var_PilotCws is on a timer, so it holds its value for a brief period and then resets, so you need to set the value again to reset the timer. With 20,10, the repeats won't start until around 0.5seconds (with 20 repeats per second, repeats start after 10 repeats, i.e. 0.5 seconds). You could try with the same repeat rate, but start repeating earlier, e.g. 20,5 to start repeating after 0.25 seconds.

Ok, I set 20.10 in the [Buttons] menu for the test. (For the other airplane I did 10.3 as you said) Everything works OK But, with 20.10 same thing, just faster button pulsation...:-) I will try with 20.5 Am I set here correctly for a specific airplane?

I thought you initially said that it was 20,10 which was good for all aircraft except this one, and that 10,3 worked for this aircraft. So you need 20,10 in the general buttons section, and 10,3 in the profile-specific section for this aircraft (or maybe 20,5). But try with different repeat rates for this aircraft to see if any actually work. If not, maybe try using the key control K:SYNC_FLIGHT_DIRECTOR_PITCH instead. Otherwise you should ask on the Black Square support in how this should be used. 8 minutes ago, SMN204 said: Maybe I need to set it even more... 30.20 for example? No harm in trying, but that may just result in even faster button presses/pulsations...

Sorry 20.10 for all aircraft, 10,3 worked for MD11 for me, so I set 10.3 in general. Now I set 20.10 back to general, and for MD11 I set 10.3 like this (is this correct?) And for KingAir will try 20.5

It could be that setting that lvar just forces an instantaneous button press/release, which means that it is not possible to press and hold it. If that is the case, then I would ask about this on the BS support forums.
