HROSENSON Posted September 18 Report Posted September 18 Hi John. For the past 2 weeks APL v2 and FSUIPC7 have stopped communicating in both FS 2020/2024. I have the current version of FSUIPC7 and APL((and both have been reinstalled). For the past year and half I never had an issue; I never had to check the status. APL recognized when I turned on taxi lights, navigation lights, etc. It recognized the ground speed so that the flight status would change from pre-flight to taxiing. I did get some suggestions from APL Support(Odidu). Nothing has worked so far. BTW, I'm using A321 (MS2024) and FBW(MS 2020). Haven't tried any GA planes. Point is that it was working fine for over a year. However, I did another test yesterday in MS 2020 and miraculously it worked. Don't know why though. This morning, though, I did a flight in the same plane (FBW) and it didn't work. So basically I'm asking for a copy of version 7.5.3. You did this for Paddler. I just want to test an earlier version. Hoping this is possible. TIA Harold
John Dowson Posted September 19 Report Posted September 19 Can you please use the FSUIPC7 sub-forum for all questions and issues with FSUIPC7 / MSFS2020 / MSFS2024, not the main support forum. I have moved your post. Such issues are usually due to FSUIPC7 not being able to connect to MSFS. Did you check if FSUIPC7 was connected? If not, please do that. If FSUIPC7 cannot connect, check your FSUIPC7.log file, and see the following FAQ entry on how to tune the FSUIPC7 start-up/connection parameters: 12 hours ago, HROSENSON said: So basically I'm asking for a copy of version 7.5.3. You did this for Paddler. You can try 7.5.3, but I do not think this will make a difference. Can't you download it from the same post? I have attached it, but if it works for 7.5.3 and not for 7.5.4, which would surprise me, I will need to investigate. John FSUIPC7.exe
HROSENSON Posted September 20 Author Report Posted September 20 Thanks! Got it. I'll let you know. APL was updated yesterday and it worked the first time I tried it. Went back in the late afternoon for another flight and it didn't work. Same airliner, same airport, etc. Makes no sense. Harold

With MSFS2024? Note that there are a lot of issues with the latest SU update that can cause issues - maybe its due to these and the latest APL update is trying to correct for this... 45 minutes ago, HROSENSON said: Went back in the late afternoon for another flight and it didn't work. Try saving a copy when it works, and when it fails send me the latest one as well as the working one and I can check for differences. John
janiTTor Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 Hi all, almost same here. It works in 2020 but in 2024 I have to disconnect and connect FSUIPC again to get the pre-flight status, otherwise the WASM module is not loaded and the flight will not be tracked. Maybe that helps. best Kai
John Dowson Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 Has APLv2 been updated to recognise MSFS2024? If not, you could try writing 13 to offset 0x3308 (best done using the ipcInit.lua script) to fool APL into thinking that MSFS2020 is running and not MSFS2024. Otherwise I do not know why APLv2 is not connecting properly - you should ask about this on the APL forums, You can post FSUIPC7.log files here and I can check for any errors when its not connecting, but if FSUIPC7 is connected and functioning normally. it will be an issue with APL. John
janiTTor Posted October 6 Report Posted October 6 Hey John, thanks for the quick response!!! FSUIPC is connected to the SIM: but the WASM Module ist not loaded until I disconnect and reconnect FSUIPC to the SIM. After the reconnect: IMHO that is no APLv2 issue. Greetings, Kai

The WASM module is loaded by MSFS and should be running. If FSUIPC cannot connect to the WASM module, please show me your FSUIPC7.log file.
