Saving FSUIPC7 settings after reinstalling the system

Dear John, I need some help.

I completely upgraded my hardware and reinstalled Windows, but I saved (backed up) all my FSUIPC7 settings, including the aircraft profiles (more than 20). I suspect that after connecting my joysticks and reinstalling FSUIPC7 and MSFS2024, the FSUIPC7.ini file will assign different letter IDs to them compared to the old settings. Is it possible to adjust the identifiers (if they are different) as in the initial installation and leave them the same, so as not to redo the assignments in the aircraft profiles?

Yes. You need to copy the GUIDs from the newly assigned letter entries (as well as the names, but only if they have changed) to the old letter entries, and delete then delete the new entries. If you have any issues or difficulties, show me / attach your FSUIPC7.ini and an FSUIPC7.log file and I can help.
