Vitved Posted October 23 Report Posted October 23 Dear John, could you please help? I've reviewed the "Fixing joystick connections not seen by FSUIPC" thread and will check for registry entry errors later. FSUIPC7 doesn't associate (bind) one of the joysticks, specifically VPC CP#2. Windows and MSFS2024 see this device perfectly. I tried connecting VPC CP#2 to different USB ports on the PC, but it doesn't appear in FSUIPC7.ini. The OS, joysticks, and FSUIPC were just installed on new hardware. Moreover, the VPC CP#2 device is detected in the FSUIPC7.JoyScan.csv and FSUIPC7.log files. I'm counting on your expert opinion. I've attached the necessary files. FSUIPC7.ini FSUIPC7.JoyScan.csv FSUIPC7.log InstallFSUIPC7.log

John Dowson Posted October 24 Report Posted October 24 There are issues with your registry and some entries need removing. Can you please do the following: 1. Run regedit and take a back-up of your registry 2. Unplug the following devices: VPC MongoosT-50CM3 VPC Control Panel 3 VPC Panel #2 VPC Rudder Pedal Joystick (Razer Huntsman V2 Analog) 3. Download and run (i.e. double-click) the attached .teg file: removeDevices.reg 4. Reboot. 5. Reconnect your devices. 7. Start FSUIPC7 (no need to run MSFS), check to see what devices are recognised and then exit. 8. If you still have issues, show me those files again (except the InstallFSUIPC7.log - that is not needed). John
Vitved Posted Monday at 05:30 PM Author Report Posted Monday at 05:30 PM Dear John, Thank you for your invaluable tips. I followed all your recommendations with one exception. I manually cleaned the registry, as you described in your removeDevice.reg file. I reconnected the devices, and everything was detected correctly in Windows. Furthermore, as you recommended, I corrected the joystick letter ID assignment to match those previously assigned in the previous Windows configuration and used for aircraft presets files. I spent the weekend testing FSUIPC in the simulator. Everything works as expected. And one more question. I ordered a good active 13-port USB hub. If I connect all (or some) of the joysticks to this hub, is it possible for the situation to reoccur? In other words, will Windows override the registry entries again? Thanks again for your professional help.

Once a joyid is assigned to the vendor/product/GUID in the registry, it should be ok. However, they can change but I am not sure what causes this. In fact, I don't think the original ones change, but new entries with a different id can get added, which can confuse things (but not always!).If they do change, FSUIPC will also try to change them back to match the ini file entries, but this has a mixed success rate. If it does happen again, follow the same process - disconnect your devices, remove the reg entries for those devices, reboot and then reconnect. As you are using the letters (joyletters) for your assignments, you can easily recover these once the ids are unique. John
Vitved Posted Monday at 06:49 PM Author Report Posted Monday at 06:49 PM That's pretty much what I thought. Thanks again, so much.
