Possible to transfer settings?

Hi, I have a dual boot of windows 7 and win 10 while I try out win 10 with Prepar3d installed on both. I spent a long time setting up my HOTAS on the win10 install, uisng FSUIPC  -  is it possible to "copy" over a config file or something to my win 7 install, to save doing all again laboriously? I used to have a dual-boot Win7/XpPro setup and did the 'copy ini files' with no problems. As I recall, I jsut made sure the letter assignments for my controllers matched in FSUIPC4 between the two OS's. I always use the 'assign letters' for controllers so that any renumbering of the devices by Windows doesn't negate my many, many hours of 'customizations' ( My current INI file is 5595 lines long! )

Would you give me...errr us, a quick and dirty on how you assign letters to your devices for FSUiPC? That would be a great help!

...I'm struggling through the advanced instructions.

Simply add this line to your JoyNames entry in the FSUIPC4.ini file:

 

[JoyNames]
AutoAssignLetters=Yes

 

Then when you fly each aircraft FSUIPC4 will change all the Joy numbers to letters.
