Adding a second tiller

Recommended Posts

Not sure on this but you could try hand editing the FSUIPC4.ini.

1. Find the axis supplied for the 1st tiller in the FSUIPC4.ini [Axes] section

2. Copy it and add another entry in the [Axes] section changing the Joy number to the new tiller.

Ex. crude & is not relative to anything regarding a tiller

[Axes]

4=0S,1,D,7,8,0,0  <-- If this is the first tiller on Joy #0 copy it

5=0S,1,D,7,8,0,0  <-- And paste it changing the entry & Joy number to match accordingly to the actual new tiller joy #

Worth a try.

I've just aadded a second (right) Tiller to my cockpit.

I know and remember how cleverly FSUIPC combines the rudder and tiller. But now (as we only have one possibility to add the tiller as 'direct' in FSUIPC) how can I add the second tiller?

Have you not tried simply assigning the second to a tiller too? FSUIPc doesn't really care how many axes you assign to each control.

The part which operates the gradual changeover tiller <-> rudder doesn't care where the original values come from, only what they are assigned to, and only changing values are used in any case. Provided the tiller not in use doesn't "jitter" it won't interfere. To ensure that make sure it has a central zone defined adequately.

Hi Pete,

Many thanks for your advice.

It just works as it should. Grateful...
