Separate Joystick and Yoke calibration needed

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am struggling with a problem which I can't find the answer, and I thought I should make a question. I own FSUIPC registered in P3D v4.1.

I have a joystick and a yoke and I would like to calibrate them separately. The reason is that they don't have the same value range/dead zones. I would like to assign the joystick to my airbus planes and the yoke to all the rest. However,  I can't calibrate the yoke separately, cause the yoke's calibration will delete the joystick's calibration, already done before. Is there a way or guide of how to do this ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Ifikratis

I'm only a lowly user :-) but here are a couple of suggestions that may help you and others to help you.

Post the FSUIPC5.INI file located in the Modules folder with the other FSUIPC software.  (Just copy the file text and paste it into a post here.)

Do not move the USB ports the devices are connected to unless you have edited that ini file so that FSUIPC can find the device regardless of which USB port those devices are connected to.

Read the user's guide section that discusses PROFILES. These can be simple or complex depending on your needs. You could set up  profiles for YOKE airplanes and JOYSTICK airplanes for example.

Hi,

as Tom-D said already the solution is Profiles.

Make sure you calibrate you controls first in Windows correct (in GameControllers).

In FSUIPC INI file, located in FS main folder ..\Modules\

Change the following to Yes

[JoyNames]
AutoAssignLetters=Yes

And of ccourse check the manual, FSUIPC4 for Advanced Users.pdf and Profiles in Separate Files.pdf

Thank you very much for the replies Tom and Thomas :)

Sorry for the late reply, I seem to have a problem with my yoke, so I'm trying to fix it currently as it does not work as expected. I'll post again when the yoke is fixed and see how I can do this in FSUIPC as you suggested.
