I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but I've selected to run KSAN & start at 00.00, however each time the sim loads & starts the time on the clock when the game starts is 16.30. I was expecting everything to be in darkness & got a shock when it was daylight. I closed it down & double checked I had the clock set correctly & it was re-run the sim & the same thing happened again. Daylight & the clock stating 16.30. Setting the clock at 01.00 or 02.00 & running the sim, this time it started at 06.31.

KSAN only operates during daylight so when it starts at 06:30 that is accurate.   Same thing here.  Started game at 00:00 and the sim actually started running at 16:29.  Not too big a deal, but strange.  The airport has a curfew and doesn't start ops until 06:30 so just begin running from then and it should be fine.

  2. Agree with your points.  Also, it would be nice to see crosswinds produce crabbing behavior from a/c and possibly even some missed approaches and go arounds do to wind.  The approach and landing phase for every a/c is the same.  Some variations here would add a lot (I feel).  Variations in cloud cover would be nice too, at least visually-- scattered, broken and even high altitude cirrus layers.

I know this has been brought up before, but the strong gusty winds shown by the trees blowing about seem very out of place when the wind indicator shows 2 knots (or calm) and/or in foggy conditions.  Something that simple can really blow the immersion to an otherwise great sim.

  3. Hello,

I am  very pleased with this sim in general. It is fantastic in many ways.  I do have a couple of suggestions or wishes, though.  The cargo flights at KSAN may start at the airport but won't be able to take off if they are MD-11, DC-10 types.  There may be others.  I know these types (and other heavies) can depart from this airport but is this something we can change or is it hard coded?  When these a/c types show up (as w the DC-10 in the attached image) they have to be manually deleted.   I was running KSAN this AM while listening live on ATC net and a FedEx DC-10 was one of the first a/c to depart when they opened for business.   Also, these carriers look awesome in this sim but would look even better with NO windows on them.  Maybe Nyerges can make this happen??  Chris

  4. Dan,

We finally got it working.  Apparently, I didn't have the link going to RC LAX SP2.  After a few emails back and forth between Nyerges and Feel There we got it resolved.  I originally ordered two separate packages--one for PHL and one LAX.  Phl was ok, but LAX wasn't for some reason but Gabor was very helpful from Nyerges.  All fine now although I do get the occasional white lion showing up but no big deal.  Now,, to get the cargo carriers to lose the windows.........Chris

  5. It would be nice for faster taxi speeds when necessary-esp on a landing rollout.  Also the command, "Cleared for Immediate Takeoff" would be very useful.  I have listened to the Tower at KSAN quite a bit on Live ATC and it is very impressive how they work there and also quite reasonable to NOT expect the sim to function the same.  Still, this is a great effort and fun.  Edit: And check out the youtube videos of a/c landing at KSAN on 27--wow, that is a rush!

      cheers, Chris

Did that work? I have disabled the sticky key function many times but always within the sim. There must be a way to disable it permanently within Win 10.

To feelthere, how hard it it to go back to the tab key? I still hit it occasionally by mistake.

Yes, go to Settings and then type Keyboard in search box.  Mine came up with "Ease of access, Keyboard settings" that I clicked to take me to disable Sticky.

  7. Wow, I need a drink,

I decided to take the plunge on KSAN after reading that an update was out for Tower Pro.  I bought it and RC and installed.  I tested with fewest a/c setting and decided to edit a few files.  I added UPS to the cargo terminal and changed Federal Express (spoken) to FED EX.  I wanted to test the cargo flights so I (assumed) that an early morning time (0 dark 30) would gain some of these--I set to maximum.  Well, I forgot SAN doesn't operate at night, generally, so the time skipped to 0600 and my nightmare rush began.  I was having such a blast I kept going way beyond my skills at this new airfield and paid the price.  I had to delete two a/c (I hate that) because the cargo area only has one way in and another because I failed to vacate the runway in time due to a plane stuck at a taxiway-my fault not the sim.  Anyways, hats off to the sim maker--this will likely be my favorite field to control.  Oh, and watching the a/c come in over the threshold is awesome with the waiting departure line across the way.  Great stuff!!

I did a fresh DL of RT & RC along with pro, and all seem fine to me as well. I noticed the zip file with RT was named RT_Tower3d_Pro & RC is sp3 - if that helps you tell any difference from your DL two weeks ago.

Hi.  Where are you seeing RC with SP3?  I was told to use original link (in email) when we ordered RC (last year for me) and I do not see that.  I am still seeing some a/c with all white liveries.  Edit: I am specifically speaking of LAX.  KPHIL has SP2 after it with my d/l

Vic I'm out of ideas and T3dpro is totally unplayable with the code gibberish spoken by the sim right now. What now? Mike

You've probably done this, but have you tried switching between the two different voices available?  Male and Female.  I think changing this helped me with another program.

I have noticed that arriving planes at runway 28 for TIST and 27 for KSAN will land correctly at the threshold point, but you cannot tell; a departing plane to line up and wait, then tell the arriving plane that the departing plane is in position, it will result in a collision.

Sorry, just asking for some clarification.  The planes at KSAN land on the runway now (not threshold) correct?  Also, can you give the command, "Line up and wait", and or "Line up and wait behind next landing a/c??"

  11. 707, glad to hear you are sorting things out.  I have noticed similar events as you:  It takes a couple of commands before speech works--then it works fine.  I have also seen the sticky keys window come up occasionally.  Neither are big issues.  I am hoping to try out dual monitors in the near future-I have one coming.  This will be a first.  Overall, great sim and I am really enjoying it.

    PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!

My problems were solved in 2 stages.

First, I ran the .exe as an administrator and now I can hear the pilots' voices. So thanks  to those that gave me that advice!

Secondly, it seems my Kaspersky Total Security package was preventing voice input until I 'trusted' towerspeakbridge.exe and now it works most of the time (once I get voice control working it will continue working throughout my session but sometimes at the very start of the session it takes 4 or 5 attempts before Pro realises I am talking to it!)

I have accidentally found a way to have the pilots' voices in my headset but all other sounds through my surround sound speaker system.  If someone who is more tech savvy than me (that's pretty much all of you) can explain how better to do this I'm all ears but right now I launch Pro with my surround sound as default but before starting a session I select my headset as default and strangely, to me anyway, I get the split effect I just mentioned.

I have started having issues with Kaspersky as well.  Can you  clarify how you Trusted towerspeakbridge?  I found the file, but I am not sure how to do this.
