As noted by crbascott, I have the same problem at KLAS where the a/c stop twice for holding (at any crossing runway). IMO they should taxi to the nearest hold point to the runway to be crossed and then stop. He suggested that I post this as a separate post.

Nope, happens all the time at KLAS, KSAN and KLAX when foggy/stormy conditions are selected. In clear conditions, it is the normal blue. And Joe, you beat me in posting this issue :)

Same problem with KLAS taxiway A5 between 25L and 25R.

Please tell us which runway has this problem (king)
At a minimum, runways 25L and 19R -- approach only. The camera skews away after I give the enter final command and then skews to the aircraft when about 1 mile out. Departures seem to work fine. I can provide pictures or video if interested....
Thanks for asking

Any chance that the 7/25 runways can be updated to 8/26? See https://www.reviewjournal.com/news/news-columns/road-warrior/magnetic-shifts-prompt-a-renumbering-for-runways-at-mccarran/
Thanks,

It somewhat works but has a number of issues, not the least of which is that the camera skews over 90 degrees from where the plane is in the sky before it becomes visible. I hope this is on their bug list to fix.

Good idea Jim D -- also, perhaps a Support forum for Nygeres Design?

Here is a link to some interesting reading from the FAA concerning priorities and how to control: http://tfmlearning.faa.gov/Publications/ATpubs/ATC/atc0201.html

Sorry -- one more question -- how does one tell the version number? I downloaded the Real Color multiple airports file and the file name (from PCAviator) is RC_Tower3D_TIST_KPHL_KLAX.exe. And for Real Traffic it is RT_Tower3D_PRO.exe. The file dates are 9/9/17 (0415 am) 9/10/17 (1817 pm) respectively.
Thanks!

Then a user configurable option would be perfect for you :)

Hey Vic -- can you comment on this?

I'm sure I'm the smart@ss that all developers hate on their own forum but I would not be honest with you guys if I would hide this info.
When we released KLAS for T!2011 one the the tower controller at KLAS told us (and showed photos) that they have an upside down radar screen for the same reason Kev brought up; they see on the radar that they see when they look out on the window. We released KLAS for T!2011 this way and it was a can of worms that we couldn't put back. We received so many complaints about the "wrong" ADIRS that made us decide against it for T!3D.
So Kev is right but no, it's not possible in T!3D.Vic
How about making the display user configurable -- so that the default is the current situation and if one wants to have it changed for a specific airport, you can.

Hi CL30 -- I agree about removing the arrow. Just a readout of the data would be useful! Good idea.....

Dear Customers,
We at Nyerges Design would like to announce a major update for most of our products.
We removed the duplicated entries for Real Traffic and we added missing Real Color liveries for KPHL, KATL, KLAS, KJFK and for the Real Color Bundle.
As usual existing customers can re-download their products from FeelThere and the other resellers.
Thank you,
Gabor
nyergesdesignHow are PCAviator customers to get the updates?

Hey all - just found this FAA SOP for Ops at KLAS. See page 3 for preferred runways. https://whispertrack.com/airports/KLAS.pdf
Hope this helps. Interesting info about noise abatement for those of you that are pilots.....

I don't understand why the arrow points the way it does. It does NOT follow Aviation conventions -- see https://aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/26549/how-is-wind-direction-reported-blowing-from-or-blowing-to -- and I don't understand why the debate -- the arrow is simply wrong (and yes, IRL I am a pilot).
Anyway, I hope the KSAN ADIRS gets fixed sometime.

Perhaps this is related only to KSAN. Compare the ADIRS directions to that in KLAX (See screenshot). In KLAX, you look out the tower to the 24 set of runways to the right. On the ADIRS, the 24 runways are on the right side, correctly oriented. However, in KSAN (in my previous post), runway 9 is to the right visually, but on the ADIRS it is on the left. It is just another mental calculation that one needs to go through which I think is an error in the program.
And of course, the wind direction on the command bar is wrong also and drives me crazy. I am surprised it isn't fixed yet. In the KSAN screenshot, is the wind from 279 or 99? All the displays I have seen in US Control Towers show the wind from (so you can land into the wind). If the wind was from 279, it seems to me that the triangular arrow should be pointing towards 279.

Is there anyway to rotate the ADIRS display so that when you look at it, it matches what you see visually. For instance, the attachment shows KSAN. It seems to me that the display should be rotated 180 degrees so that runway 27, for example, is on the left of the display which would match what you see outside. Or have I missed something?
Have a great weekend, and best of luck to those in Florida!
SK.

Yes, this situation is bad for all of us, but we are trying to find an alternative solution to be able to provide the updates for those who bought goods from PC Avitor.
Gabor
Great news!! Can't buy KLAS until I get the update :(
How about uploading them to a download service (such as dropbox, etc) and then provide the link in an email. After all, we do have the license, all we need is the software :)

Absolutely agree. It is next to impossible to read the taxiway IDs. Also, foggy or stormy conditions.
