Okay, thanks. That's what I thought too. Adding it to the exe.xml won't work either, same problem, I don not run MSFS with admin rights, so it won't be able to launch addons via the exe.xml that need elevated privileges, and afaik it's not recommenced to run MSFS with admin rights. ... maybe HiFi will add an auto-launch functionality in the future. Thanks!

Meanwhile I've figured out in the log* that it's an [Error 740], so although AS_FS.exe is not set to run with administrator rights, it still somehow is (indicated by the little shield) and is not accessible to start by FSUIPC... Might be something ActiveSky-specific, because I could not find out how to change that. * 322047 FSUIPC couldn't run: "C:\MSFS_ADDONS\WEATHER\AS_FS\AS_FS.exe" in folder "C:\MSFS_ADDONS\WEATHER\AS_FS" [Error=740]

Hi, I have 3 of programs I want to start with FSUIPC, which works fine but for some reason, one program (ActiveSky) won't start (I only hear a warning "ding" when MSFS is up and running, indicating something's apparently not working, but no message is produced). What could be the reason for this? My .ini entries; [Programs] RunIf1=READY,KILL,C:\MSFS_ADDONS\TRAFFIC\fsltl-traffic-injector\fsltl-trafficinjector.exe RunIf2=READY,DELAY[=30],"C:\Program Files (x86)\FS2Crew Fenix A320 for MSFS\FS2Crew Fenix A320 for MSFS.exe" RunIf3=READY,KILL,C:\MSFS_ADDONS\WEATHER\AS_FS\AS_FS.exe 1 and 2 start fine, 3 won't. None of the application are starting with admin rights. Thanks for any ideas, Stu

fsuipc 7.4.6 not linking profiles automatic to aircraft
Stu Antonio replied to belgiumflightsimpilot's topic in FSUIPC7 MSFS
hi. I have the same issue, I put [Profile.FenixA320] 1=FenixA320 but FSUIPC won't recognize this and I have to link the profile again for every single livery. Don't know if it's an issue with FSUIPC or the v2 of the Fenix, but it use to work just fine a while ago. I tried different lines, like "Fenix A320" or "FenixA320cfm" etc., but nothing seem to work. After I link the aircraft (jn this case EC-LOP) to the profile via the FSUIPC window, the ini looks like this: [Profile.FenixA320] 1=FenixA320 2=Fenix A320 - VLG EC-LOP Any advice on how I set it to load the profile for any Fenix livery? Thanks! -
hi, anyone else having elevation issues (again) after SU10 (asobo version deinstalled)? not as severe as in the OP but still notable hills and valleys.... any suggestions?

Traffic Zapper MSFS

I'd also very much like this, I hope it can be implemented (and will work with AIG) 🙂 This was/is one of my most favorite an useful functionalities in FSUIPC6 on P3D. Thanks! -

Key command triggered by altitude AGL?
Stu Antonio replied to Stu Antonio's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Okay, I see 🙂 I was just doing as this passage in the manual states "For key presses, the <key> value following the letter ‘K’ is the virtual key code for the key to be pressed." but maybe that's for something else... Getting rid of the K worked perfectly, the script now does exactly what I wanted, that's so awesome!! Thanks guys!!! Cheers, Stu -
Key command triggered by altitude AGL?
Stu Antonio replied to Stu Antonio's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Thanks for helping me out Pete, I used the above script to create "autorecord.lua" but couldn't get it to work properly. I tried to get it to "press" the V-key (for taking a screenshot on my system) by commenting out and adding the line ipc.keypress(K86). But this did not to anything. The log mentions an error, but I can't make sense of it: ********* LUA: "autorecord" Log [from FSUIPC version 6.1.2a] ********* 98328 System time = 09/08/2021 16:05:52, Simulator time = 17:00:08 (15:00Z) 98328 LUA: beginning "C:\Users\Stu\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\FSUIPC6\autorecord.lua" 98328 *** LUA Error: C:\Users\Stu\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\FSUIPC6\autorecord.lua:16: 'end' expected (to close 'function' at line 3) near '<eof>' 98328 >>> Thread forced exit (ipc.exit or os.exit) <<< 98328 System time = 09/08/2021 16:05:52, Simulator time = 17:00:08 (15:00Z) ********* LUA execution terminated: Log Closed ********* What am I missing? Thanks Stu -

Key command triggered by altitude AGL?
Stu Antonio replied to Stu Antonio's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Hi John, appreciate the quick response. Unfortunately I don't know how to program LUA scripts, I just thought there is a way to do this in FSUIPC. No problem, I'll ask a friend who might be able to help me out based on your explanation above. Thanks & regards, Stu -
Hi there, quick strange question 🙂 Is it possible to have a certain key command "executed" by an event like descending through 500ft. AGL? (For instance, let's say I want to automatically save a screenshot for every of my approaches at 500 ft. AGL, so want my screenshot-key to be "pressed" automatically when I pass that altitude) Thx, Stu

(Auto)save with button?
Stu Antonio replied to Stu Antonio's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
That sounds terrific John, thank you very much! Stu -
Hi, I can't find info on this in the manual. I have set up autosave with a for me comfortable interval, which works great. Is it possible to set it to also trigger a save with the use of a button (without the P3D save prompt, just like the autosave does)? So if I have a certain event or situation I quickly want to save, I just hit a special button on my joystick an in saves so to speak in between the set intervals..? Thanks, Stu

Thanks John, it's now working perfectly!!! I can now easily zap any traffic that is in my way or approaching from behind if faster on approach etc... Best regards, Stu -

Traffic zapper | INOP on ground traffic
Stu Antonio replied to Stu Antonio's topic in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
So I did some further testing and found the following, using these settings: ZapSound=firework ZapAirRange=2 ZapGroundRange=0.5 ZapCylinderAltDiff=1000 Parameter: 4 - even in cylinder mode, I still have to "aim" on one specific AI ground traffic to zap it. It's not automatically zapping the nearest one (i.e. behind or directly below me). So I guess the cylinder mode is somehow not working on my system or not working on ground traffic. - when I reduce the AirRange value, it becomes easier to hit/zap traffic. That makes sense, as the manual states that the "effect cone" angle decreases with distance. - I was able to zap ground traffic with the above settings, but only from a certain distance resp. when I get some distance between me and the AI. if I get to close, it won't work, no matter where I aim (tried in a helicopter). Now I will try to use it in the FSL Airbus, where I initially need this function to clear traffic from my runway. Since I can't really "aim" when I'm following the G/S, I hope I'll find a setup that let's me hit the traffic from a reasonable distance. BR Stu -

Thomas, thank you for trying to help, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately it just doesn’t work for me. Even in normal mode, diving directly on to ground traffic, I can’t zap it (did dozens of “attack runs” over the airport). I give up. But thanks anyway. Regards Stu -

Also, when I use the Zappall function, it zaps every single plane I see, just like it should. Air and ground. So I'm not sure it's the AI traffic itself...
