  1. Hello Mr Dowson, modern Airliners like the MD-11 have a implemented function which pauses the sim short before T/D, because if you do a long haul flight, you can start and the got to bed and sleep well. At the next day you can unpause the sim and make the approach. Problem with other addons like the B377 is, that they don't have such a function... also they don't have a FMC which calculates the T/D. My idea is, that you could implement a little function in FSUIPC where you can enter that the sim should pause in XX minutes. So you can start the flight with the old airliner and estimate that in e.g. about 4 hours the descent have to beginn. Insert 240 minutes for the pause function and go looking TV... Is that possible? What do you think about that? greetings, guenter
  2. Oh..... i'm not familiar enough with the Lua stuff that I can do that, I think. But who knows... I have never thought a few weeks ago that I will ever use Lua ;-) Thanks for the ideas... I'll try!
  3. thanks for answering (that was realllly fast) I solved it via the *.ini editing Here's an other question concerning to the Lua Programming. I've got the commands for the A2A B377 e.g. IntercoolerFlap1 which regulates the IntercoolerFlaps (as the name says) Now I can assign them to a button (with repeat) in a macro with 2=L:IntercoolerFlap1=INC 3=L:IntercoolerFlap1=DEC The range of the flaps is 1 to 100. Works perfectly.... Now my question: Is it possible in a way to get them to one of my Saitek throttles? So that I can regulate the flaps with a throttle. I've managed it of course by assigning two ranges via the axis assigement (ranges for action): in the upper half of the throttle range the IC-Flaps rise up, in the lower 50% they go down. But is it possible to get the values 1 to 100 out of the throttles to regulate the IC-Flaps? I don't think so, but I better ask, maybe you know a solution... thank you, guenter
  4. Hello Mr Dowson, Is it possible to combine Lua Vals in Macros? With "normal" macros I can combine it in this way: 1=Battery 1.1=... 1.2=... With the Lua Vals I tried the same: 1=Battery 1.1=L:LeftBatSwitch=TOG 1.2=L:RightBatSwitch=TOG ut that does not work.... Any Ideas? thank you, Guenter
  5. Hello Mr Dowson, sorry for my delayed answer... the oktoberfest started at saturday ;-) this is very great feature you've implemented. Thank you so much! It works perfectly!!! The only very little thing is, that there any feedback would be good, when pressing the "sync" button. Maybe a little counter which show the number how often the sync was pressed. But this is not really important... Again, thank you! Your support is absolutelly the greatest in the FS World! guenter
  6. Hello, sorry that I haven't told you my system... its FSX. I have a Saitek X52 Pro and 2 Saitek Throttle Quadrants, all running with Vista 64. I'm curoius what there will be coming ;-) But I have visitors this weekend so i just can test or reply next week... Thank you very much for your great support!
  7. Would be great if you have the time and passion to do that. I have calibrated the TQs in the way Jeff says, but not with 100% success. Throttle 1 and 2 (of the middle Thrust Throttles) are nearly similar at 50% Throttle 3 is behind 50% in FS when the Throttle itself is at 50% Throttle 4 is a little bit over 50% It is ok for me. But if there is a way to change this kind of behaviour one day so let me know, please ;-) Thanks and good night
  8. wow, thats exactly the same problem I have. I haven't ever posted here about it, because it was to complicated for me due to language handicaps and laziness... But, yes, thats the same problem I have with this two TQ from Saitek I have tried out many different calibrations via FSUIPC, but nothing is working really good. The stunning thing is that the TQs are well calibrated when you see them in the windows settings - but the reason for this could be that the calibration bars are too small to see real differences. I think too, that this is a problem of Saitek due to different potis or sth like that. But I'm to lazy and to tired to send my throttles for some weeks to Saitek with the risk to get them back and nothing has changed... So, if this could be solved via FSUIPC it would be very great... but I have no clue if this is possible or if the effort to solve this is a waste of time. I'll read this thread mit big interest the next weeks! guenter
  9. Hi Andy, I just can highly advice you not to install the Saitek drivers or software. Everything can be done via FSUIPC. The only disadvantage is that you can't use the NFD from the X52 Pro. Or do you have "just" the X52? But for MFD info you have the Combo Panel and all the other VRInsight stuff ;-)
  10. thanks for answering... with the camera definitions I had just partial success. But by accident I found a solution: I have a Saitek X52 and wanted to have VC View, external view and tower view to the 3 step rotary button at the top right of the joystick. At step one of the rotary is now Viwe Virtual Cokpit Forward Step two is view camera select 3 (which is external cam) And at step 3 of the rotary is Next View which is switching from external to tower view And because the step two is always external view, step three must always be tower.... that is, what I wanted ;-) Thanks very much for help and hints, also to Andy!
  11. thanks Andy for answering, some things work with your explanation. But I can't find the tower view and the fly by view... Maybe I'm to dumb to see it, but I would be very happy to get a hint how to programm this to views to my joystickbuttons.... thank you guenseli
  12. They say thet FSUIPC is necessary with a unregistered Version. What they do inside, and if they need any licences I don't know. In their displays you can see the actual autopilot and radio datas. Unfortunalety the Combo doesn't act like an Joystick, so you don't get JoystickButtons. But you can programm the Combo by using the VRInsight keymapper and map to any button a key-combination. Then you can programm FSUIPC to do your action when this key-combination is pressed. Andydigital, the freelance moderator from VRInsight Forum is sometimes around here... I'm sure he can answer your question more detailed and in better english
  13. Hello Mr Dowson, a need again little bit of your time... How can I assign views to joystick buttons? I have three free buttons (e.g. 31,32,33) I'd like to have the cockpit view at button 31, the chase (fixed observer) view at button 32 and tower or flyby at 33. I have found the VIEW_VIRTUAL_COCKPIT_FORWARD, but I haven't found the commands for the other ones. There's a offset with the number 8320 in the programmers guide, but I don't know how to use it exactly. Seems not to be a big thing, but I'm not able to get what I want... Thank you very much for your help!!!!
  14. The fastest and the best support... as ever! Kohlsman was it! Thank you very much and thank you verymuch for your technical and historical explanations!!!
  15. I wonder, that I haven't had this "problem" earlier... Is there a possibility to dial in the airpressure? for standard pressure it's the "B" button, I know. But to be realistic as possible I want to dial it in. But I haven't found any shortkey in FSX. Is there one? thank you!
  16. As allways: Many, many thanks!!! Both explanation of you work as I wanted it to do. Perfect!
  17. Hello Mr. Dowson, I try to programm a switch panel. Seems very simple, but somewhere I have made a mistake: Switch up is FD ON Switch down is FD OFF. For the Up Position I have entered Offset Word Setbits 2EE0 with Parameter 0001 This is working... For the down position I have entered Offset Word Clrbits 2EE0 with Parameter 0000 But this doesn't work...? Whats wrong here? Thank you very much!!! Edit: Is there a possibility in the same way for the Autopilot? I just can find a master switch as toggle. But is there a function for Ap on and Ap off?
  18. Yes, I have understood it so... Cause many normal keys have other functions... e.g. spacebar is for mouselooking. Of course I can unassign this keys, but a big advantage of using FSUIPC was that, in case of an FSX reinstall, I just install FSX and use the standard key settings, because FSUIPC is configured with them... But of course it is no problem to find an other key... Was just wondering if there is a possibility to do it in this way. Thank you very much for response...!
  19. :D It's me! Because I can assign right ctrl to teamspeak and right ctrl is perfect, because I'm lefthanded and while I have my mouse in the left hand, I can press with the right hand ctrl and speak... And ctrl doesn't have any reaction when pressed alone. Your solution doesn't work, respective the way I have tried it... Here's the code: 76=PA,30,K163,8 I have tried also with "9" and "1" after the comma... Maybe I can assign it ot shift, but it's the same problem?? Any ideas?
  20. Hello mr Dowson, hope you enjoyed your holiday and haven't had to much trouble with the delicious "tinto de verrano" :D I have a question how to assign a Joystickbutton that I can get the keypress "Right CTRL" out of it. Backround is, that I want to control Teamspeak with the right CTRL on my keyboard AND with a joystickbutton which gives out a right CTRL keypress... It depends which hand I will have free, so I need keyboard or joystick... Thank you very much for it!!!
  21. ok, of course the fault was on my side. I haven't calibrated via profiles... I just have calibrated without setting it to profile specific... every day with FSUIPC is a stunning day with learning sth new ;-) thanks for your fast support as always!
  22. Thanks for the fast reply (as ever) I will have a look in it and test it once again and compare the *.ini before and after the changes. Will report back then. happy easter!!!
  23. Hello Mr Dowson, it's me again with "trouble" again ;-) I'm Betatester for an Airplane (don't know if I' allowed to say which one) and I have a problem with this airplane, and a similar one with the B377 from A2A. The Betaplane uses the "speedbrake" in a way to simulate cowlflap drag (when cowlflaps 100% open) I have assigned different profiles in FSUIPC for FSX latest Version. Also profiles for some Jets, where my throttle quadrant's mixture is assigned to Speedbrake (default for all planes is mixture; for the jets its speedbrake) And I have of course calibrated the speedbrakethrottle via FSUIPC I have also deleted any throttle entry in the standard controls.xml. Now, when I fly with this Betaplane, I can't speed up. When I press "#" (speedbrake), then everthing works as it should. Note: the plane have no speedbrake apart from this coded cowlflap drag I use the normal profile for this plane, so mixture on the lever and no speedbrake is assigned to any throttle I have found out if I delete the speedbrake calibration in FSUIPC everything works. Similar problem with the 377: here with the cowl flaps. I have assigned to another plane two levers for the cowlflaps and calibrated them via FSUIPC the 377 uses the standard plane profile with mixture and NO cowlflaps assigned to any lever But the cowlflaps 1 and 2 (the calibrated) are everytime minimum to 50% Can't move them down. I found out here, if I delete the calibration of the cowl flaps, everything work as it should with the 377. I have no idea if its my fault or FSUIPCs fault? ok, these are complex planes, but I think that just the calibration shouldn't affect the planes function?! Hopefully you can understand my english. I have doe my best. And please don't waste your easter holidays for this.... I can wait. If you want I can send you my FSUIPC.ini via mail. Many greetings and thanks, Guenter
  24. Ok, I understand your explainings. But I don't think it would just help one or two folks. I have written the last weeks a little bit in my "homeforum" about FSUIPC (just positive of course ;-) ) And a few people asked me how to do that or this and wondered, that this is possible with FSUIPC. And I say that nearly everything is possible with FSUIPC. I think the main reason is that the most people don't read the manual and beside this they fear about "programming" the *.inf The most people, I think, are just setting up FSUIPC via the ingame dialog and can't imagine how powerful the rest of the programm could be! But I understand your point of view and I respect your work very much!!! You'll do great job with FSUIPC and helped me very much with your tool to enjoy FSX a far more.
