  1. oh no.... I haven't expected that it is already thereand Pete, you should have the experience over all the years with that forum, that asking Pete is much easier then looking into a manual  thank you very much and sorry :!:
  2. Hello Pete, long time no questions from me ;-) Hope you've enjoyed your holidays... Is it possible to make a LUA window, which asks for a decision and the user can type "y" or"n" for example? So e.g., I load an aircraft and a LUA window is asking me if I want to go cold&dark or not... ? thanks very much! Guenter
  3. should be no problem. Same or better said latest version of FSUIPC is recommended! Yes, some developers change their codes with updates, e.g. F1 Cessna Mustang. Don't ask me why this happens, other could do updates without changing the codes. Its not a missing link, the numbers change. If you create a mouse macro, then you will notice a numver in the upcoming FSUIPC message window, like "X1c740*Xa1cc". There will change mostly two numbers ( I think it has sth to do with hexdecimal system) The only solution is to redo all the work again... regards, guenter
  4. hello guys, I too have the FSUIPC and the VRS F18 Superbug. But I don't have problems with AiCarriers.... One idea comes to my mind: do you both try to use the shortcurt "shift+j" to start the AICarrier dialog? Because with the Superbug, the shortcut "shift+j" is now for an other function ("Toggles power to the Airborne Self-Protection Jammer. Actual jamming is toggled with SHIFT-J.") You have to start your AICarrier dialog "manually" out from the FSX menu under "addons". Or assign another key combination in the VRS ACR tool. Or is the entry complete lost in the FSX menu under "addons"? What I can see, is in the exe.xml something different to my exe.xml I don't have the "-" (minus) in front of "" But you have the same minus' in your dll.xml, so i think it is a copy and paste issue? Beside this, I think, your dll.xml and exe.xml entries are correct. But Pete have a sharper eye for finding coding errors
  5. YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have just tested a few times now, but as the issue was for 100% before and no for zero, I'd like to say, that is resolved. I have tested it also with VSPE and SerialFP connected which is also working! Thank you very, very much, Pete!!!!! As always, you will get a nice cup of tea/coffee, beer, wine (as you prefer) from me when I will ever come to Stoke-On-Trent or if you will visit Berlin
  6. Oh yes, thats right. I'm ashamed that I figuered this not clearly enough out before... I try it again just to be sure: at the (absolute) end of FSX shutting down, I get the HRESULT error. I don't know what is broken then, but when I then restart FSX, the programs ASE and AivlaSoft EFB can't reconnect to FS (what they normally should be able to do) Only a restart of ASE and/or EFB can reconnect the programs to FS.
  7. no, unfortunately it is no whoopee... I was in a little hurry, before. sorry that it was not clear. Just tested it again, but also with no success. So, the message is: "no (good), (still) HRESULT error" I really, really wonder what with my system could be other than with yours. You said, ASE is proper reconnecting!? ASE is really changing its nearest station/airport if you change your airport after restarting FSX? I have fresh installed OS and fresh installed FSX and no tweaks, no services disabled, all updates automatic.... The world is inequitably.... One "hint" for you (don't know if this is saying a lot): with AivlaSoft DataProvider I can see the connection behave "live" And the HRESULT comes not up in the moment when I end FSX. It comes up in just this second as FSX really closes. As you certainly know needs FSX a few seconds to close (the time between hitting "ok" and real closure)

  10. ok, this would be a long post.... regarding to one post above the last: No, I'm not! If I start SerialFP without starting VRISetMach.lua before, SerialFP connects to COM3 with success! Now case 1) I insert into VRISetMach.lua my lines to the following: VRIdriver = "COM2" VRIdevice = "COM3" If I start a flight now (no VSPE), start the VRISetMach.lua and start then SerialFP, I get no connection to SerialFP. 11. yes, of course. tested this shortly. FSUIPC.log says a connection but got no connection to SerialFP. But the error does not come up when ending FSX. I have right now not the time for further testings... just again this evening. thanks meanwhile....
  12. Your ASE (or AivlaSoft EFB) is reconnecting? Thats not goodfor me  I don't wonder... I think that not many people use this wonderful VRInsight mod. And the error does not come really up. Only if you wonder about, why you have to restart ASE to get a reconnection. That was how my journey was starting... Or it is simply just on my system.... but with everything fresh installed I wonder... language difficulties (german OS)? not really, or?
  13. Yes, and that should normally work... ASE should be able to reconnect if FSX starts again What happens very well if 1=COM3 line is disabled...
  14. Yes, already checked: FSX process is closed proper! This happens sometime, too, but I have sorted now out, that the HRESULT error does not mean automatically that FSX process does not close
  15. Hello Pete, I have WIN7 Prof 64bit. no compatibility mode for FSX All Admin rights, UAC off I have made a fresh install of OS these days (the error was also before, also with FSX in Vista Comp) FTDI was latest 2.06 WHQL, but I have installed also the latest now from the FTDI Page 2.06.02 but does not help. I have tested it (1=COM3, with comma and without) and also with COM2 No SerialFP and no VSPE running --> error I have made you two screenshots from AivlaSoft EFB Data Provider First one is normal without error: the second you will see the error. You will get the same error with Active Sky if you look into its log. EFBs Data Provider shows me the log "live" so this is more handy for me (btw, AivlaSoft EFB is a very nice tool; you could test the full version for it 30 days free if you want to try it yourself) I'm very interested if you get the same error? Start FS and Active Sky and then start a flight. End the flight and end FS Then, restart FS Active Sky should now be able to reconnect to FS and show your present position if you change it from standard airport to another. (EFB will work in the same way) Does this work for you? Does this also work for you if 1=COM3, COM2 is enabled? Or do you have to end and restart Active Sky to get a connection to FS? I hope, you get the same error: I hate it to have special issues just on my system  (which is freshly installed, no special mods, no special tools, all services run as they should) thank you very much, Guenter
  16. More than the not stopping FSX process nerves me the HRESULT issue (with SimConnect disconnection) And I'm sure these both behaves have sth to do with each other.... Yes, I have tested this without success... Both, Active Sky and AivlaSoft show errors, but thats not the fault of these two Addons, they simply show that SimConnect isn't working any more. I have made more tests now: I have disabled this line in FSUIPC.ini 1=COM3, COM2 and have started SerialFP in the "old fashioned" way with the "MSFSX Original Plane" profile and everything works perfect. I have also tried all possible combinations with VSPE started, SerialFP started etc. But my 100% reproducible conclusion is: when the line 1=COM3, COM2 is enabled, I get this issue. And it doesn't matter if SerialFP is running or not!!!! Or if it is connected or VSPE is connected or whatever Only the line in the FSUIPC.ini causes the HRESULT issue (and disconnection from SimConnect?) So SerialFP alone does not make any faults in my opinion, and VSPE also does not make any problems... 17. Hello Pete, nice to read you again. Hope you enjoyed your days... ok, I made endless tests... First I added your suggested KILL Run1=READY,KILL,E:\Program Files (x86)\SerialFP2\SerialFP2.exe but does not help. Then I tried to sort out if it helps if VSPE is closed before the flight is ended or if SerialFP would be ended or both etc. I also tried out different COM pairs But nothing really helps! So, on my side I'm on the end what to do else... It seems that hits the nail, but I don't know what we could do now to solve this. Hopefully you have a nice idea???? Could this connection interrupted before ending FS? many thanks, Guenter
  18. Hello Pete, this issue was a little odysee for me the last days... all hat begun that Active Sky Evolution always needs a restart when FSX was closed. ASE never could connect again when FSX would be restarted. Another program (EFB from AivlaSoft) shows the same behave) The error code was HRESULT: 0xC000014B at both prgrams. I found out, that shutting down FSX without starting a flight (just beeing in the main menu) don't cause this error. Loading a flight causes for 100% this error. In most cases also the FSX.exe process wasn't stopping. I have to stop it via Task-Manager; but not always. Now I found out, that this behave has to do with the VRINSIGHT stuff.... [VRInsight] 1=COM3, COM2 LogLua=Yes disabling these lines will eleminate the error. Enabling this lines will force the issue for 100% Beside this behave, the interaction between VRINSIGHT and FSUIPC etc works 100% without any issues. Do you have any idea what could help here. FSUIPC is of course the last version 4.604 thanks very much, Günter
  19. I have made some little LUA and MACRO files for different aircrafts the last weeks and d'like to share them here. These commands below are for the B17 with Accusim LUA commands To get acces to the single commands you have to do the following: 1) copy the code below 2) insert it into an empty editor or wordpad file and save it as e.g. B17.LUA 3) open FSUIPC menu and choose LUA B17 from the drop down 4) insert different parameter numbers depending on the action you want (green field) (in the picture is an example for the PMDG J41) List of the parameter numbers and their commands for the A2A B17 with Accusim -- 1 = Batteries ON -- 2 = Batteries OFF -- 3 = Cowl flaps open -- 4 = Cowl flaps stop -- 5 = 20. Ah, that was exactly what I wanted.... I have assigend primary throttle to "Throttle/Slew" and secondary to "Throttle 1/2" and "throttle 3/4". That doesn't work. Now I have changed primary to "Throttle 1/2/3/4" and it works as you said (of course) And that is now, what I wanted... Life can be so easy  Thanks Pete and have a nice holiday! Greetings to your family! Guenter
  21. Hello Pete, I hope I can make you understandable what I want to do.... As I like the birds from A2A Simulations I want to make a special throttle setup for me. The A2A Accusimmed Addons need all a certain throttle to avoid sparks fouling. And with the planes with more than one engine you often steer with right/left engines throtteling (left engines 100% let you make a right turn) So I have assigned my primary hardware throttle (saitek X52) to all four engines and control them all together with that. But I have also assigend to saitek throttles to control engines left (1, 2) and right engines (3, 4) so that I can make turns on ground with the throttle. I call them secondary throttles... What I want now, is to have my X52 primary throttle as a kind of "master throttle". When I have set e.g. 20% throttle with that, the secondary throttles shouldn't fall below this 20%, even when the secondary throttles are at zero. Background is, that I taxi on ground with the secondaries and then line up on the runway and will increase my primary throttle. But primary throttle was at e.g. zero and so the addons RPM drop of course. Same after landing if I change from primary to secondary throttle... To leave all three throttles at 20% wouldn't work, because they interfere each other due to slight movement. And you can't reach everytime the same percent... So, primary set to 20% means, that secondary will be moved but only jump in and increase if over 20%. And when decreasing, the seondaries shouldn't be able to fall below the primaries setted value... Hope you understand.... This smells for LUA, but I would be very glad if you could give me some hints how you would try to manage this... thank you very much, Guenter
  22. I'm sure you haven't got a full registered version of FSUIPC with a CS Addon. Many Addons need FSUIPC to work, but only with the unregistered version... As you can see at the simmarket page you need to purchase a FS9 version AND a FSX version if you want to.
  23. Yes, thats possible.... But I don't want to be guilty that you maybe be disappointed, so please wait till monday that Pete can answer...
