If you are the user on both computers I see no problem there. I have FSC on the client with wideFS without problem and all my software is installed for me alone. I found that ideally both computers needed to be password protected but on occasion have had a problem seeing the FSX folder from the client. This was overcome by 'waking up' the FSX folder by opening the folder from within the client explorer.

Works fine here on W7 64bit Pro. Maybe a silly question but have you unzipped the file? Trying to connect from within a zip file can be problematic sometimes.

Doesn't Fix Control Acceleration on the Miscellaneous tab fix this in FSX - I was sure that fixed a problem for me.

Volker - thank you for the reply - are you saying the weather file is the same as gets used by the IVAO online servers? I was not aware why the IVAO weather was no longer downloaded from the previous URL before the change.

Firstly great news about the next version - looking forward to it. Is there any chance IVAO weather will be downloadable again? That really would be the icing on the cake as far as I am concerned.

Here's another - there is nothing wrong with customer support here and it has taken you since 2004 (the date of your first post) to think that. I don't even see a question being asked in the forum since July last year and as the forum says this is FS Commander Support Forum. (And you may want to read viewtopic.php?f=155&t=74997)

OK - that explains it. When did you slip this one in under the radar? :shock: I look at front page of website weekly and have seen nothing about a fresh build.

The DTG is shown as 8273 whereas the expanded route segments add up to 4660 (and the real life route is 4659.2)
Any ideas?

I am sure these guys will get you sorted but as a suggestion, next time you reinstall install outside of the program folders. I have seen many posts recently advising FS whether 9 or X be installed into the root folder - i.e. C:\microsoft Games\ ...etc . I know a network problem I had quite some while ago was sorted by moving FS to the root. Just a suggestion.

If it was me I would zip it up - reduces the size and doesn't present a threat.

The new feature "fly over" feature for passing waypoints sounds a great idea but having gone through the manual I cannot see how to effect this. Probably missed it but guidance appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Sascha. One more suggestion - the log is shown as an autolog but it isn't. It needs to be started each time. Is it possible to have an item in the setting to enable the log to be started automatically if there is a flight plan as with everything else that needs to be done it is sometimes easy to forget.

Thanks for the reply - I assume you mean restart FSC as disconnecting from and reconnecting to FS makes no difference.

Hi guys
When FSC is started the GPS window sits happily on top on the client computer. I also run Eye of IVAO, Navigraph charts and Flight Tracker on the client. The problem is that the GPS window sometimes loses focus and when I go back to FSC it is no longer there. This happens usually if I have closed the window before going, for example, to the charts as it can get in the way. When I go back to FSC and click to reopen the GPS window it is not there and the only way I can get to see it (or at least the easiest way) is to click the Show Desktop icon then the WideClient tab on the task bar which then brings it up on the desktop. The only way to get it to show on the FSC page again is to close and restart FSC.
Have searched forum and found nothing to help me.

Can the next version sort out distance to go to landing please. On my current flight the Arr button shows 088 miles yet adding up the figures in the flight plan this comes to 145 miles. Does it ignore the SID and STAR? An accurate figure would enable TOD to be calculated by the pilot.

Searched all forums (using color and colour) and found nothing so here goes. Is it possible to change the colour of the text when using Ctrl-Z. I find the red is very difficult to read sometimes and have tried various screen sizes without any measurable success.
If not from user controls could it possibly be amended by an FSUIPC widget?

Is there any chance that the confirmation box for downloads could be either dispensed with altogether or at least an item in settings that disables it. Even better - there is a lot of space for additional toolbar buttons - could there be either dedicated buttons or programmable buttons.
One more - move the mouse out of the flight plan strip when adding or amending a flight plan and it loses focus. Altering this would be good.

Hi Slako - you can turn those off yourself in the properties page (right click on desktop and click properties) - it should be in the screensaver tab with a power button - just alter to always on.

And another button for GPS Window would be useful - move to another screen and the GPS window is still on top.

Thanks for the new version guys - all working as far as I can see with one minor problem (for me at least) - with 8.6 and before I could copy a route from another source and paste it into the route box but find I cannot do that now. Any reason why this is so?
