Help required I have a new PC windows 11, Prepar3d v4.5 Linda 3.3.5. PMDG 777. My VRInsight MCP worked very well on my old PC windoews 10, unfortunately I can't get it working on my new PC I get the attached error when I try to run VRInsight sofrtware after instalation Linda everything ok when running and synced to prepar3d and PMDG 777 Any help would be appreciated. edmundo019

Hi John Thank you for looking through the ini and for the advice ref VRInsight. With the flaps I found the ini file on my old drive with fsuipc6 on and copied the the flap setting into the the ini. Many thanks for your help Kind regards Dave

Hi John Thank you for your help, I have managed to get the Flaps with detents working now on my PMDG 777. I have a VRInsight MCP 2 Linda 3.3.5 reports VRInsight not found in fsuipc I know its not your software but when you were looking at my fsuipc.ini files did you notice anything wrong that may give me the VRInsight not found in Linda. Hi John Thank you for your help with this. I am unable to find the log file I looked in the G:prepar3d Modules folder only Configurations settings. I have attached file from C:\Users\Documents\Prepar3dV4Addons\fsuipc And File from G:\Prepar3d\Modules\fsuipc6 In VC when moving the flap lever to flaps 1 there is no movement. In VC when moving flap lever to flaps 5, flap lever moves to flaps 1. In VC when moving flaps lever to flaps 15, flaps lever moves to flaps up. In VC when moving flaps lever to flaps 20. flap lever moves to flap1 In VC when moving flaps lever to flaps 25, flap lever moves to flaps 15. In VC when moving flaps lever to flaps 30, flap lever moves to flaps 25. When I move flaps lever to flaps up, In VC the flap lever moves to flaps up. Hope this makes sense to you Kind regards Dave. I have attached my FSUIPC.ini file I am still trying to get my Flaps working with my PMDG 777 which I did have working on my previous PC I can get the flaps with detents somewhat working but not all the way to full flaps, I was hoping you may see why in the ini file Many thanks Dave FSUIPC6.ini

Hi John Thank you for your reply, I have had all this working on my previous machine running windows 10, I have been trying on this for a while sometimes the small spin wheel won't even change to the next flap setting. I guess I will have to learn how to assign custom controls. Many thanks Dave

Prepar3d, windows 11, PMDG 777-200, FSUIPCV6, Linda 3.5.5. I am trying to set flap detents on my pmdg 777 using fsuipc 6 registered version however when following the guide the centre numbers are not changing through the range as I move the flap lever and press the centre set button either side of the detent Please any help would be appreciated kind regard Dave

Hi Pete, Looking forward, My Flght sim PC has 3 drives 1 SSD with windows 7 on. 2 Western Digital Raptors one with FSX on and one with scenery on. However the SSD with windows on only has 16GB of space left on it, Rather than spending time now trying to sort out my problems do you think I would be better changing my SSD for a new 1 Tb drive and having Operating system and FSX on the same drive. Then Install FSUIPC, Linda, and all of my hardware, I know its a lot work, but hopefully I will be heading in the right direction, below is a spec of my PC at the moment, and is there any advice you could add. Hi Pete, Thanks for your reply. I will over the weekend try uninstalling the joystick/yoke from the device manager. Connected I have Saitek Yoke axis assigned and Calibrated through FSUIPC Go Flight TQ6 Throttle Quad Axis assigned and calibrated through FSUIPC Go flight landing gear and flaps module. Go flight switch panel not used,(have not yet managed to get it to work with PMDG 777. Go flight Engine start module used with default 737, not managed to get it working on PMDG 777 VRinsight MCP combo 2 Boeing set up through Linda (until I tried updating Linda.) Thanks Pete, I have spent all day today with this and not sure where to go next, If I double click the Linda.exe in the modules folder Linda runs but does not find FSUIPC. The Joystick and throttle have not been removed, any ideas why they are not recognized. Com 3 is where the device manager shows the VRI is. Hi Andydigital, The problem was DLL.XML file permission, so the installer runs but I cant register, FSUIPC wont recognise my Product Key for registration. The error message says "Sorry, this key is not a valid 12 character" key I have Copied and pasted the key from the Modules folder a couple of times but still no good, any ideas please. Regards Dave

Hi Pete, thank you for your reply," Yes I am English". However when I save the bat file to fsx it ends up in fsx above the fsx.exe file, when I tried to save it to fsx.exe I get a message asking me if I want to replace the fsx.exe, should I say yes to this, I am a little scared as this must be fsx application file and I dont want to mess everything up I have put Run1=HIDE,H:\FSX\FSX.bat into the FSUIPC ini file, H being the drive where FSX is on my PC. Ok thanks Pete, Posted 31 May 2012 - 05:28 PM First of all, my thanks go to Günter (guenseli) and Ryan (Tabs) for this. Aero must be ENABLED before starting FSX for this tweak to work! It is about vsync fix for users who fly windowed. Now, in another thread, a tweak with half the refresh rate was posted for the users of full screen. The good news is, there is something new for windowed users too: While you won't be able to enjoy the smoothness of the half refresh rate FPS (60->30), you will be able to circumvent that stupid vsync behaviour in windowed mode where FSX is halving the FPS all the time. You can usually either get 60, then 30, then 20 then 15 I believe... if FPS drops below 30, it will drop to either 20 or 15. FSX disables Aero upon start (does anyone know why), thus making vsync function like described above (at refresh dividers). Now, if you restart the Desktop Windows Manager (dwm.exe, which then restarts the Aero after FSX has started), it will behave just like the standard full screen vsync. 30-29-28-27... First of all, to enable vsync in windowed, put this into FSX.cfg: [GRAPHICS] ForceWindowedVsync=1 Now, there are three ways to restart the DWM (Aero): DO NOT use this option, as it apparently messes up the EZCA functionality. 2) and 3) is working fine. 2) create a batch file containing: @echo off start "" "E:\FSX\FSX.exe" (insert the link to your FSX.exe) net stop uxsms net start uxsms and run it. FSX is going to start, Aero is going to get started after FSX, and voila... 3) elegant solution, through FSUIPC (only works with registered version): - create a batch file containing: net stop uxsms net start uxsms Set the FSUIPC to run the batch file automatically, edit the FSUIPC.ini and enter: [Programs] Run1=HIDE,"E:\FSX\FSX.bat" (insert the link to your FSX.exe) This solution is going to do everything silently. No CMD popup windows, only visible Aero activation. Important: If you come over ANY sign of trouble, please post. Hi Pete, I have attached below an article about FSX and Aero, Please can you advise me how to use FSUIPC as described in the article I have attached, using more of an explanation how to do this using FSUIPC, Do I just edit FSUIPC.ini, with the two lines as explained on the attachment for the "elegant solution using a registered version" and If I need to put anything in the FSX.exe,and how do I go about it.
