    The 341st Blackjack Squadron: http://www.ozma.be/341_2.html

The 187th squadron went online in 1997, playing Cfs1. Shortly after the founding members decided to be known in the Multiplayer game as the 341st 'Blackjack' squadron. Playing in the zone on a daily basis, the 341st is known for it's honesty, playability and sense of humour. New recruits will find the fellowship and helpfulness rewarding. It doesn't matter how well you fly, it's the fun of the game, meeting new people from all over the world and sharing your hobby with others. The 341st is a squadron with members from the U.K., U.S.A, Belgium, France and Hungary. If you want to know who's who is in the squad, check out our members page. A very big thank you to Naws, Thug, Trev and Mal for getting the squad where it is today......flying and having fun, as it should be !

    Regards,

    341 Colonel Joker

  2. ~S~ Again!

There seems to be a lot of links that are no longer active on CFS Yellow Pages, if your squad is still up and running and you would like to post a link to your active Squad please do so here.

Post a brief description of your Squad and the URL. If your site is moved or disbanded please edit your post with the relevant details.

  3. ~S~ Ghost,

    Thanks for dropping in!

Yes we hope for this to become a meeting place for all squads, the idea being that it will be easier to organise matches and tournaments between different squads. But for this to happen we need to make as many squads aware as possible (so go spread the word  )

I am also thinking that it may good for active squads to post a link in a new thread (I'll start one now) so we can see who is still active on the Zone. The CFS Yellow Pages is a little out of date to my knowledge and there are a lot of dead links out there now.

  4. I was working with a client last night and looked at my PC clock when we started 01:10am, imagine my confusion when I looked again around 55 mins later and discovered it was 01:05am, thought I was loosing my mind :(

  5. Hi Joe,

Thanks for dropping in with your querie.

Photoshop is not our main area of expertise I'm afraid. I know enough for what I need but having never dealt with repaints (not since CFS1) this is not an area I am familliar with.

However I have talked with Simon Stansfield and have draughted him in on a consultancy basis. I know that you have already sent him an email and he is looking into this issue and will post his findings here.

    Kind regards,

  6. ~S~ Viper.

With the updated Zone it appears as though we have a stay of life, Fur Ball has been reinstated which is great news and maybe a sign that we are ok for a good while longer.

However it would still be great if Squad members bookmarked this Forum and used it as a central meeting place. There seems to be a lot of squads on the Zone at the moment and very few individuals, so what better place to organise matches and tourneys between us.

Please pass on the word to all you meet and feel free to advertise anywhere you see fit.

Kind regards and thanks for post,

    ~S~

  7. I thought Francois may have posted this here all ready but I guess he is tied up with other things, so I will post a link to the thread he started.

These are new textures from Bill for the FS water. I have just installed them and like them very much. However the one downside I have is that if you are quite low to the ground (bush flying height) then they don't look that good, however I will be putting up with this. Oh and I noticed no reduced FPS either.

Try them for yourself and make your own decision, just remember to back up your original textures before you install.

    Have fun,

    6. No hanging washing on props

    7. No passing cups of coffee between planes during close formation flying

    8. No smoking during combat, unless it's your plane that's commiting this sin.

If non of these are followed then we will trace your IP and notify your internet provider and suggest a posting to the South Pole!

  9. Hi fellow combat sim pilots,

I was talking with CC Willy a little time ago and we both expressed concern at the speed rooms are being shut for CFS1 pilots on the Zone. Furr Ball has gone and so have the ladder and tourney rooms. We felt (as seasoned CFS veterans!) that a meeting place should be started for all serious squads to gather and post details of IP games, matches and tourneys, in the likely event that the Zone is closed to us all together in the future.

We would like you to use this forum to post any details of upcoming squad matches, challenges or recruiting information. Dates, times and IP information where required.

I hope this service becomes a valuable asset for you and it's used with the discression and respect that it deserves.

I would like to say a big thanks to Francois Dumas, Managing Editor of The simFlight Network, for setting up this forum for us all to gather and bash our heads together. Francois is one of the most helpful and patient people I have met and how he manages to put uo with me is beyond my abiltiy to understand :D

Well I raise my glass to you all and look forward to meeting new faces.

  10. As far as I can work out you dont need a video tape. You do need XP and the Windows Media Encoder available from the Microsoft flight, after that you set it up to record FS and I guess it saves it as a windows media file.

This is all I know for know, sorry.

    Regards,

  11. Hi Chaders, hope all is well in sunny Yorkshire 8)

I saw your post on the LAGO forum about using the Windows Media Encoder to make videos of FS2004. I downloaded the encoder last night but can't for the life of me work out how to use it :x

Would you be interested in writing a read me in "layman's" lingo or perhaps just a few pointers to set me off on the right foot.

If you prefer to contact me you can use webmaster@fs-gs.com and if you wish I can send you my telephone number.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

    Cheers,

  12. Don, regarding the scenery how are you at translations?

On holidays to France I am able to scrape together enough French to get by and not offend the locals, however I don't seem to remeber any School lessons (all those years ago) that covered installing scenery in flight sims

I'm not even sure which of the downloads to install off their page and what they are, sorry for my ignorance

Please help, I wanted the scenery for FS2K2 but had to step back for the same reason....

    Regards,

  13. Ok here is another update....sorry

Reworked the main page and added some nice screenies on the relevant page. We are working towards making the descriptions of service more understandable to all (well that is the plan). I aggree it needs some work  The rest of the pages will be worked on tomorrow.

The main page is probably going to remain for now, I haven't much time to spare at the moment :( and I feel that at least it looks less "dreary" now. Also the left margin will scroll for those that contacted me with problems viewing all the contents due to smaller monitor resolution.

I hope that I am moving in the right direction with my limited web design skills (if only I could master Dreamweaver, help to a dunce anyone :? )

I would also like to add that this is the only place I have asked for opinions, I am not after advertising at this point I just respect all the EFC members and know I can count on your honesty :D .

    Regards,

  14. Wanted to look around the Antartic, the first base I set off from appeared to have strange lines around it so I skipped to external view and found the runway I was sat on was in fact below the ground and another runway.

The line in the middle is where the new level starts and hits the camera/view point. The only editing I did to this picture was the text.

    Anyone else see this?
