I'm trying to work my schedule to allow me to go but can't be 100% certain at the moment. Will let you know as soon as I can.

Cheers all for your no holds comments. This is exactly the feedback I was looking for.
Ok, I have renamed the inital page so when you save in fav's it will not show up as page 1, I never noticed that before so I appreciate you pointing it out :)
All the services descriptions will be cleaned up and made more explanatory, Michael should be working on that as we speak if he isn't sitting around a smokey bar room playing Jazz 8)
As regards the main page "whizz kerbang", the formost thought on my mind when making this site was those poor folks with dial up (yes there are a few of us left), there is nothing worse than having to wait hours for the first page to load up, I have this problem often and usually just move onto the next site. I will be looking at FLASH in the future so maybe will make the site more pleasing to the eye without increasing the page size.
As regards "goofy marketing ploy stuff" my father is a marketing guru, he is the founder of all marketing courses in the UK and many abroad. I consulted him while putting the site together and he gave it the thumbs up. I guess we all have different opinions what a site should look like at the end of a day, as you may be able to tell I am no fan of great fireworks, but I think that we have to work to keep everyone happy.
Right I am off to look at the site, scratch my head, drink some strong coffee then go to bed. Tomorrow evening I will again work on it and see what I can come up with.
Thanks again for your input and don't be shy if you feel I am making it worse or better :D

Ok Emmaites, I need some honest opinions.
It is known by a select few and those that have followed the link in my sig, that I have been working with a friend (Michael Greenblatt) to set up a new business aimed at the flight sim market.
Michael is an absolute whizz with PC's and graphics in particular and we both have spent too many hours posting screenshots on various forums for our own good!
The screenshots we produce always receive a good review and Michael has been helping others set up their PC's for optimum performance and little reward for quite a long time. If you head over to the SimV forums you will find he is very well known there.
A few months ago I approached him with the idea that we offer our services to designers who seem to have trouble producing screenshots that do justice to thier products. He was very interested and we set about working on a new business that incorporated this service amongst many others.
Now we have reached a stage where we are very nearly ready to fully publicise our site and I was hoping that the Guys and Gals here would maybe take a look at our site and provide us with some CONSTRUCTIVE critisim. Please remember though that it was created by myself and I am no expert web designer, just a humble guy that spends too long in front of his PC and seems to forget more than he learns
Looking forward to your opinions (I think) and many thanks to Francois who has helped us so much and Simon for our executive jet!

Hi Pete,
Just a quick question, does Active Camera require the FSUIPC module?
Sorry if this is a dumb question
Regards,

Just found this on the FlightSim forum, going to try it now and will report back.

(due to communication difficulties it was as close as we got to each other but at least it proves he didn't crash  )
Read "Due to the fact that Nick forgot to add Francois' number to his phone" Maybe we can have another attempt at this next year. Nice landing by Didier though, at least we witnessed that!
Had a great time though and it was a pleasure to meet Simon. He even remained polite after meeting the rest of my CFS1 Squad and their cronies!
Ruud, the link works fine for me and there are some great pictures there.
Regards,

Hi all,
Keeping Francois company at Emma, will start the first leg on Sunday evening all being well. undecided which bird to pull out of the hangar. Maybe a microlight
Have fun and try to fill any holes in the runway, I don't want to end up face down in the dirt after a long leg due to fellow EFC members leaving craters from non exended landing gear, etc.

I've contacted Cambridge Council and requested that the motorway construction team stand by for initiating emergency repairs on the Sat morning. I believe they were considering closing one lane and building a giant sand trap!
Watch this space for updates

Francois,
I am looking foraward to seeing what aerobatics you have planned, at the very least an inverted fly by will be expected
Mort, if you or anyone else can make it drop me an email and I will send you my mobile number. I am also meeting a few of my CFS1 squad cronies + family members and friends and am expecting it to turn into quite a social gathering!! The more the merrier :D

Hi all,
Are any of you EFC chaps and chapesses heading to Duxford UK for the airshow on the 6th and 7th of September? I am hoping to meet Francois there who will be flying in on the Saturday and it would be great to meet some more of you reprobates
If you want to contact me directly drop me an email nick_c@tiscali.co.uk
I hope to be flying FS9 online real soon, I have experienced 2 hard drive crashes and my memory went kerplunk, all is up and running now but I have some tweaking to do before I will be happy.
Anyhooo, will be interesting to see if there is anyone else going to Dux and if not I hope to catch up with you all real soon over Emma 8)
Take care,

Hi Roger,
Sorry for the late reply I am in the process of updating my PC after my main Hard Drive died and after getting myself back online I instantly recieved the W32 Blaster Worm Virus that seems to be hitting a lot of XP users at the moment!!!
We don't believe initially that there should be any compatability issues but we are looking into it and will get back to you ASAP.
Bests,
-
Welcome back Richard, glad to hear all went well :D
Yup, you have to post some pictures before I come round and snoop from the neighbours garden with my telephoto

I have that Spit somewhere and it's a real gem.

I'm starting to hear bad things about Perfect Flight from different people. This is not good. I sent my email to them around 15 hours ago and still no reply. I think I am beginning to realise why there is no Support Forum!
As an experiment I manualy installed the add-on, all it has are 2 folders, one for the A/C and one for the guages, but after putting them in their relevent places the sim still kept crashing. I have tried to run it with the guages removed, sound removed etc. but to no avail. Why does this affect all the other A/C and make the sim crash?
This is baffling me and any advice or thoughts will be appreciated.
And if Perfect Flight don't sort out this problem or offer any correspondance then a letter from my excellent solicitor will be coming their way  This is payware and we have rights (I think....???)

I would just like to mention to anyone looking to buy this package to err on the side of caution.
I downloaded and installed this Helli last night and all seemed well, until I fired up my sim.
I choose a position in New Zealand where there is no add-on scenery and hardly any Autogen, cleared all the weather (as I do when checking out any new add-on A/C) and then chose one of the many variables of colour and weapons for this little bird. All well so far..
Upon loading the above I hit the problem, Sim Freeze, the only way I could get out was by dropping down to my desktop and then closing FS from within the Applications Manager. I tried this using various skins supplied and with many reboots inbetween, but alas no joy. I then tried as an experiment using another plane and the same thing happened, complete "ice".
I've since removed this add-on and all is back to normal again, I've sent their tech team an email and am awaiting to hear from them soon.
This looks like a great package and will be worth the money if it ever works, so watch this post and I will inform any interested parties what my developments are.

Hi Ajay,
I have the plane and the numerous "Gnome" repaints and have to say I love it. I haven't explored the GPS yet but will in due course.
The only reservation I have so far is with landing, I can't seem to keep her in a straight line. I'm sure this is down to my abilities though but I need to read the manual again to see if there is anything I am doing wrong.
If you purchase her though I am sure you will not be dissapointed, I love fine detail and have to say the clarity of just theTyres and Wheels is amazing! But I am a sad middle aged old fart

Just found this plane by William Ortis on Simviation.
It is a nice little model with all the usual animated bits and pieces (including landing lights that drop from the wings in increments) but I feel there is room for some texture improvements. Maybe some of you Emma repainters (no names suggested Sim...cough cough) would be interested in having a go?
Anyway I will leave you with this picture :D
Forgot to mention the filename is: F24R.zip

Socrates,
Enjoyed our brief flight tonight, here is the quick pick I took. I hope Fritz doesn't ban us from the field!
Never seen a hover Falcon before, must be the Brits new secret weapon!!
I also lost my connection to the server and was too tired to rejoin, hope you all had a good night.

Chaders, happy birthday for tomorrow and have a great Wedding, I hope the speeches don't embarass you too much
Will you be over Emma on your first night?
Nick

You tried taking that around to Carringtons yet Chaders

Good luck Kat.
The first and last time I flew a plane was during my ATC days. I got 40 mins in a Chipmunk 20 of which I had the controls, well the stick! We flew around a few hills and then I was instructed to take us back to a large collection of greenhouses we had passed over earlier. Could I find them? Heck no, I was completely lost!
It didn't mar the experience though and I guess it was about then that my love for flight realy began. Give me a prop anyday, those big Buses in the sky hold no place in my heart, especially after one real bad flight, but that's another story
I too am looking at flying lessons but I think it will have to wait until spring next year. The cost of lessons in the UK is just so high!
Look forward to seeing you over Emma soon,
Nick

If I climb a tall tower and stick out my thumb what are the chances that a passing kindly soul will "scoop" me up and carry me accross the pond for free?
